more out of place than a power-armored bounty hunter fighting a three-foot portly Italian stereotype plumber?

If I was Iwata I would explicitly have last say as Nintendo the Corporation and yeah Snake would be out.  That was a boarding on a FU to the fans in his inclusion to begin with.

Yeah I totally remember the mass outcry and screams of "NINTENDO SOLD OUT!" across the world when Snake was revealed for Brawl

.... oh wait

As toxic as Other M was, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo is just going to let the Metroid property simmer down a bit before figuring out what to do with it.

It's too soon for another Mario title, even if 3D World was the lowest-selling flagship Mario game ever. That Zelda button-masher (oops, I mean, "Dynasty Warrior") game is a thing too now, so I don't think Retro's working on Zelda either

It's not more DK either, I think that's obvious.

It's not F-Zero, because nobody will buy a Wii U, much less a game that will undoubtedly sell badly on it. Also because Iwata's well and truly given up on the hardcores.

Custom Robo? HAHAHAHAHAAHAAA.

Starfox? Hmm, it's the most likely out of the bunch, I think.

As far as it being some dumb-ass party game crap, I don't think Nintendo's willing to waste one of their biggest assets on another throwaway annual Mario Party installment. Well, certainly not stupid enough to, anyway.

It's just the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network that the DS and Wii used, not the Nintendo Network that the Wii U and 3DS use

Either new F-Zero, new Star Fox, or new Custom Robo.

...even though I know that I'm better off waiting for new Shenmue

It should be the year of Waluigi.  That man needs his own game like a GameGear needed batteries.

Is this sarcasm? I really cant tell

Perhaps "worthwhile" wasn't the right choice of words- I've no doubt that this is a great game, but was it a neccesary game? If not something new, why couldn;t Retro have been working on a franchise that's been horribly neglected, like Star Fox (or been completely shat upon, like Metroid). Great as DKCR was, I don't recall there being any great clamor for another one

And the best part of all this is? Now Retro can work on something worthwhile!

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Are indie games the "New" 3rd party?

Whenever "Indie developers" start producing games like Titanfall and The Last of Us, I'll stop calling Nintendo's "Third Party Support" non-existant

What the hell do I need this garbage just to transfer old Pokémon to a new game? Boooo!

because nintendo likes money

specifically, your money.

Nintendo going under would be the worst thing imaginable. Rest easy though, friends. For Nintendo to sink, Iwata will REALLY have to screw something up (even worse than the Wii U), and he'll be given the boot before any crippling damage can be done.

For all the **** I give Iwata, if he were to outright buy Interplay (or at least secure exclusive publishing rights to Earthworm Jim), and finally gave the world a real sequel to Earthworm Jim 2 (since EWJ3D was horrid), I will immediately forgive him of his various sins.
