TalkBack / Re: Pokémon Black and White Review
« on: March 31, 2011, 01:03:21 PM »
I've always enjoyed the Pokemon series, though I'm a bit disappointed that this particular entry seems to be easier than the others. Still, I bought White on the 3DS launch and I look forward to delving deeper in the game! Great review!

I missed the premier episode. Could someone correct me if I'm wrong?

Basically, Nathan is carrying out his plan with the U.S. President to round up those with abilities right? Why is Noah Bennet working with Nathan? And why is Mohinder, Matt Parkman, Hiro and Ando together? And what is Peter up to these days?

Let me tell you all a story...

So my buddies were on their way to Tokyo Game Action to play Street Fighter IV. So I spliced the sound, created a YTMND and lo and behold! It reaches the official website of Capcom's developers website. You can see both the YTMND and the video here.

http://capcom-unity.com/

So basically, I'm completely shocked that a YTMND that I made found its way into the cell phone of the lead developer of Street Fighter IV.

GET HYPE SON!

That's probably true.

So...does Nintendo plan on releasing air? Did they even plan this far?

Well, I'm sure it i'll do well. Who cares if its capable or not capable of pushing out a graphical something something? This game looks absurdly fun. I'm not looking for an epic game like Lost Odyssey or something. I'm looking for something a little crazy, and this fits the bill. Just hope its good.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: DS Crank is the worst accessory ever
« on: January 12, 2008, 04:23:58 AM »
Wow, that's uh, pretty bad. I actually sat there for about 3 minutes trying to figure out why someone would need a crank when they might as well buy a CHARGER!?

10
Well, I hate when they decide to revamp the character trying to make him appeal to a new edgier audience. It didn't work for the new Bomberman, and I don't think its going to work for Bionic Commando.

I'm at work right now, and I'm staring Z&W directly in the face. Fortunately, I bought this for Christmas for my brother full knowing what Capcom tends to do with games like these.

Just a bad case of the ol Phoenix Wright I would suppose.

Regardless, Galaxy is an amazing game and hopefully it sells just as well.

Now I've truly seen it all.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Wii isn't hardcore enough
« on: October 20, 2007, 05:59:40 AM »
This is getting really old really quickly. The system has been dominating almost consistently since the time of its launch and developers are still afraid to devlop for the system because its "not hardcore enough". Why don't they go out on a limb and just try it making something for the system. Don't these guys know that their adding fuel to the fire by not developing games and proving other companies wrong?

HEH?!

I've always avoided keeping memory cards in the Wii unit for the sheer reason of cosmetics. But now that I've heard that this has happened, I'm going to stay away from doing this. Even though its not 100% confirmed. Better safe then sorry.

Of course! Capcom proved that they could do it with Viewtiful Joe on Gamecube, so I think its totally plausible/necessary.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Pokemon Battle Revolution--is it worth it?!
« on: June 24, 2007, 10:11:30 AM »
^lol you bring up a good point. I've been into series since the orignal, have bought two transfer paks, bought a slew of different colored Pokemon games and here I am at age 20 still playing the same franchise! I say thats its totally worth, because I did end up buying Colosseum afterall, why stop there?

Super awsome! Its about time a Guilty Gear came out for a system other than PS2 or handheld systems!

Word. Before Stadium 2, I knew nothing of physical and special attacks and all of that. That entire lecture hall was so sooooo useful!

I'll eventually get PBR, but I sincerly hope there is more depth to the game than that.

EDIT: I just went over and read the preview. Though it lacks the minigames, it seems as so they'll have tournament cups a la Stadium 2 and will offer special prizes. Awsomeness! As long as there is a PC to organize the pokey mans, I'll be 100% satisfied. I'll be getting this regardless of the review!

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon Battle Revolution--is it worth it?!
« on: June 21, 2007, 12:59:37 PM »
I was just over at youtube checking out some of the videos for the upcoming 3D battler. It looks fantastic by the way! But my main concern isn't the visuals or anything. Truthfully, I'm concerned about the amount of content in this game and if it actually warrants spending the full 50.

In my honest opinion, Pokemon Stadium 2 was the cream of the crop. It wasn't just a visual upgrade on the N64, but it offered so much more! The prizes were intense (Cyndaquills Chikoritas, come on!) There were a slew a cups, and the Gym Leader Castle which was also intense. This is probably why Colosseum lacked that genuine feeling.

Back on topic, I was checking out Wikipedia (though nothing is 100% true) and the only mode that I saw was the colosseum battles against I suppose a CPU of some sort. If this is the case, I reiterate my question. Is PBR really worth it if it lacks all that Stadium 2 was known for? You know?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Singleplayer games?
« on: May 20, 2007, 10:31:04 AM »
Hm. Yes, downloading a truckload of GOOD VC games might keep you busy for a while, or at least untill Super Paper Mario comes out. Unfortunately, the game is about 20 hours in length so I wouldn't recommend going overboard with it.

Now I see why Nintendo has decided to release their big guns this year...because they've released nothing huge but Zelda in the past couple of months!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Nintendo: Marketing genius?

Agreed, you know a Wii comercial when you hear it, nevermind see it. Nintendo may be the same old stubborn they were year ago, but it seems like they learned from their mistakes. Making something that no other comany has out there and making it FUN was two vital ingreediants for making something as sucessful as the Wii. The DS came out in late 2004, and people STILL want it. Now I work in a video game store and I can't tell you enough times how many people ask for a DS and Wii. I know that doesn't mean much now, (As its still a couple months old.) but to me it doesn't seem short term. I know short term systems when I see them, (I think.)

Nintendo Gaming / RE:As much as it pains me....
« on: April 29, 2007, 07:38:44 AM »
It's never an easy thing to give up, but as you get older you find yourself having less and less time for the things you love.

For me, games like these ones have always been something special to me. I will never forget Ocarina of Time for as long as I live, and that's something I want my kids to experience as well someday.

Getting back on topic here, you decide what works for you in the end. But it does suck to give up something like that.

I think Nintendo has finally got it right after a couple years of oops and uh-ohs! They finally have a system that has the same appeal as the DS Lite and even more so. Now with the Pokemon Battle Revolution coming out, the Wii is about as untouchable as the DS is.

Ah well this one is easy.

What do you think when yoiu see my avatar? Torment? Taunting? Sadness? Frustration? Murderous intent? lol. I'm just big on puns, and I needed an avatar to go with Nintendawg, so I guess that blasted dog from Duck Hunt will do.
