...but what if its just symbols to him now?

This is the first week of Guillaume's vacation, so of course he's getting a shout-out in the title.

Good news if you're tired of Mario Movie reviews - none of us have seen it!

Instead, we stage an email heavy episode this week. In it we: review your eShop hauls, figure out the next Nintendo toy to appear in their games, and list what series challenges we've taken on. Lastly, Greg closes out the show finally giving his long-delayed New Business on Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon.

Did you like the emails? Did you dislike them? See if you can do better!

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker RetroActive will resume in a few weeks. You can post your comments here

I gave up on doing meta-challenges when I flamed out of both "finish all DS Dragon Quests before VI comes out" and "finish all the numbered Final Fantasies that aren't MMOs" partway through DQV and after FF2 respectively. Though I do follow a YouTuber who had a running series where they tried to complete all of the Pokemon games in order under "faint = permabox" rules and level caps without repeating a Pokemon. (The series got up to Sun and Moon because those games are exhausting for one playthrough, what about FOUR?)

By "your" e-Shop hauls you apparently meant "Dave's" e-shop hauls.  Why do I bother.

I ended up getting Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball. Or I suppose I should rather say that I played through Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball and managed to obtain all of the discounts. I’ll tell ya though, there’s a new layer of grimness to the story knowing that you have turned Rusty’s life around thanks to your patronage… mere hours before the eShop closes forever. It was a real “Moon hovering over Clock Town” scenario.

I’m mildly concerned at James’ idea for Mario Party mechanics. I shudder at the thought of him designing a game for the Mario Party Monthly crew to have to endure. That said, it’s still peculiar that neither Ultra-hand, nor Punch-Out ever were tied to the “Arms”.

Glad to hear Greg enjoyed the Bayonetta spin-off. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the demo. I think at some point I will get around to playing this one. But I am in no rush, right now.

I've been through a small meta challenge in the run up to Tears of the Kingdom.

Played Majora's Mask, Wind Waker (for the retroactive) and then Twilight Princess. MM and TP for the first time, so I'm now caught up on the 3D games.
