I'm all signed up and ready to go. I guess you can't make your selections yet, or at least you couldn't as of Wednesday.
Just a heads-up, I'm going to be posting my picks on this forum too, for easier visibility/added discussion. I encourage the rest of you to do likewise (we might snag some extra people as the season goes on, too). And I'm REALLY looking forward to Thursday's game: go Pack! Of course, the week ends on a low note with Oakland/Denver, but you can't win them all...
Anyway, I'm curious to hear if folks here have some power rankings in mind. I haven't had time to rank each team individually, but in general I'm thinking the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. GB/NE/PIT/NO/BAL are my top five, probably in that order, although the Ravens are wobblers. Philly remains my favorite dark horse for the umpteenth straight year.
I'm actually down on Indy this year, for once, but the Lions are starting to scare me; will any other NFC North team keep its starting QB for the rest of the season? SD, ATL and the Jets should all once again be great this year, although I don't think they're top tier. Although the Falcons broke the bank over the offseason, so it's now or never for them...
The two Bay Area teams once again look like bottom feeders, with both of them seeming to enter the Suck for Luck campaign with a vengeance. Man I hope they get blacked out at each home game. Poor Minnesota may be the worst in the league, though, with Seattle being close due to their crappy QBs. I'm actually curious to see if the other NFC West teams have actually improved over the offseason, though, or if we're going to have another 7-9 playoff team this year. Mmmm, Western mediocrity...
