Neal's Pokémon are cool -- but his battles are hot!
Pshoe the Raichu
Volt Switch was fantastic later on as a way to scout enemies and then set myself up to put out whoever I wanted without losing an attack turn. Because of that lead-off spot, Pshoe became my highest-level Pokémon. The mixture of Electric and Psychic worked really well as the going got a little tougher. Also he surfs on his tail. That's dope.
Iggy the Incineroar
My cocky wrestler boy cat (named after my own cocky boy cat) took rivals out with his fearsome Flamethrower attack, which has an attack animation that looks like Incineroar is pelvic-thrusting out a stream of fire. Hot!
Pickapepper the Toucannon
This pissed-off bird wasn't what I expected when I first got a Pikipek, but the rage and fury emanating from the penance stare of Toucannon cut through my steely heart. This angry-as-hell flier is now my favorite generic bird type Pokémon of all time. His ability to learn a variety of typed attacks makes him even better.
Double Stuf the Bewear
Stufful was adorable, but I was not prepared for the tank-like beauty of Bewear. This Normal/Fighting type could soak up damage and dish out marvelously. He'd get punked every now and then, but for the most part, this was my go-to guy whenever I didn't have a type advantage. Also, Bewear is a giant stuffed animal or some such. It's nonsense and I love it.
Big Ol' Neck the Exeggutor
While I kind of wish I stayed with my Mudsdale or my Palossand, Exeggutor's big ol' neck was too tempting. Grass/Dragon wasn't quite as dominating as I hoped, but using Dragon Hammer and seeing this Pokémon's big ol' neck lay down the business on foes was glorious. I just wish that big ol' neck wouldn't fall so hard.
Magibug the Golisopod
A last-minute addition, this durable bug was great for soaking up damage and occasionally getting the drop on someone with First Impression. If I did it all over again, I'd add a Wimpod to my party way earlier.
