YES YES YES!!!! Come on Dixie Kong! I don't care how, just bring on the playable Dixie Kong!
Live Blog incoming?
Inezuma 11 confirmed for release following the Direct.
Wow, Nintendo can't catch a break can they? Even something as straightforward as streaming a bunch of pre-recorded announcements seems to be a hassle. I'm not saying it's Nintendo's fault necessarily (blame probably lies with Ustream), but when Nintendo need as much attention as they can get announcements like these really should run more smoothly.
Youtube stream was flawless.
Overall, not a bad presentation, but I was definitely hoping for an extra surprise, be it an earlier than expected Smash release date, or an unannounced WiiU game (NES Remix 2 does not count). And considering the WiiU's health, this felt too 3DS heavy to me.
I'm looking forward to GBA VC though. I'm hoping Drill Dozer is part of the first batch, as I never played that. Seems bizarre they'd put up the Super Mario Advance 3 when the original Yoshi's Island rom is available.

I would argue that far from being bizarre, Nintendo acting irrationally in relation to virtual console is commonplace at this point.
Who knows though? Perhaps SMA3 was just an easy port or one that they had in the can.
Nothing here to suggest any urgency in regards to the Wii U's impending DOOM. There probably is nothing to show but if you didn't own a Wii U and were not interested already this would do nothing to change your mind.
It feels like if the Wii U was selling 2 consoles a month or 1 million that Nintendo's approach to it would be exactly the same. It would take some time to refocus so maybe within the next six months we'll see something different but I don't know. I doubt it. If my console was bombing I would try to reveal some killer new game ASAP. Even if my trailer was just complete vaporware nonsense I would reveal it just to create some buzz and optimism.
One announcement that i don't see discussed yet is Nintendo Pocket Football Club (Calciobit) and all it's online features.
I am not sure if i'd want to play the game itself (it's football trainer simulation -- as in you don't play football, you're just managing the team), but i really like the look.
Also here's Iwata Asks for the game.
After-Direct Iwata Asks are probably even better than Directs themselves because you get to know creators and the development of the games you just saw.
Also from European Direct:
Wright vs Layton web demo puzzle and Iwata Asks with Shu Takumi and Level-5's Hino.
