With PAX behind us, it's time to get back to work, and what better way to do that than with two, yes two, news segments!

First, Neal and Patrick break down some of the news we've missed over the past couple weeks, including the lackluster support of the eShop/Virtual Console. Then, following the sudden announcement of Nintendo Direct, Neal joined Alex and Pedro to talk about the late-night announcements (at least for us), such as New Super Mario Bros. 2 and the Kirby Anniversary Collection.

Also included in this news-centric show is the return of "What Pushes My Buttons" and our evolving game of the year list.

I'm none too happy with the trickle of eShop releases too. Sure, I'm getting a lot of use out of Colors! 3D and am considering Ketzal's Corridors, but I certainly would like more games releasing. The "Coming Soon" section of the eShop has roughly three 3DS Download games and one Virtual Console games, and I'm suspecting this could be on the docket for May's downloads (they all had a release date of TBD). So if Wario Land doesn't come on Thursday, it would be... weeks, if not months, before we finally get it.  :(

I'm really looking forward to New Super Mario Bros. 2 because I enjoyed the first two "New" games and it looks like it'll be more of the same good stuff. The Kirby anniversary bundle certainly has my intrigue and I look forward to what games will be included. I'm in a minority (so it seems) but I'm looking forward to Mario Tennis Open. I enjoyed the first two games and am really not that miffed over the lack of RPG/story modes. I played the hell out of Mario Tennis on N64, so this could be more of that good stuff.

My GOTY list looks like this so far:
1. Kid Icarus: Uprising (Fantastic in nearly every aspect, 60 hours in four weeks, guys!)
2. Dillon's Rolling Western (I adore this game, so much so that I beat every village with 5-star ratings.)
3. Resident Evil: Revelations (Very nicely done game and Raid Mode is good fun.)
4. Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword (It's growing on me, and I rather like its gameplay.)
5. Mutant Mudds (The heinous difficulty near the end soured me a bit, but the music and core game is great.)

I tried to get my significant other to play Kirby Air Ride last night.  Oh boy, was he mad!  I'm not sure why; he wanted to try it because he heard it was awful.  I personally still think City Trial was fun, so long as there were people to play with.

I don't think Luigi's manion 2 is in any trouble.  Maybe it's just a grandiose game and they're still adding content.  Maybe nintendo is planning on making it their huge holiday (november) title?  I don't know if a date was ever announced, so, in theory, it's not 'delayed' at all.

I'm actually doing a mess of research for Luigi's Mansion 2 right now. My basic conclusion isn't too far off from what I said, except that it's only been in development for less than a year and a half. I would say fall 2012 or early 2013 is reasonable.
