Try out Nintendo's new console at various BestBuy and GameStop stores soon.

According to insiders, who shared some information with GoNintendo, Wii U demo stations could be hitting stores as early as October 17.

There is no word on which games will be included on these demo stations and some stores might not have their pods activated on day one. Activation will be done on a store-to-store basis and Nintendo representatives will activate the stations themselves, so it might take until October 22 before a pod in your area is ready. GameStop stores are, if this information is to be believed, getting the units directly after the work at Best Buy is completed.

Wii U stations have been already set up in the Nintendo World Store, as we reported last week.

I will be hitting up Best Buy and Gamestop come Thursday.

I bet the game demos will be similar to what they showed at Pax Prime last September. Nintendo had many demo stations for the Nintendo Land games and Super Mario Bro. U. Will probably be launch games only on the demo station.
Just my two cents.

I doubt we'll get any at my Gamestop, since the damn place is already cluttered to the brim with Android tablets, Wii, Xbox, PS3, and Vita displays and a bunch of bargain Xbox and PS2 games. Maybe they'll get rid of their Wii display?

Considering I'll be in Tacoma this weekend, I'll probably see if the Best Buy there has it on display.

Well, guess I'll be hitting Best Buy Wednesday morning after class.  The only problem is I may not have it in me to leave.

One of my buddies who works there says they are indeed taking down the Wii displays.  He even got to keep the TV mounted to it.  They just have to return the Wii System to nintendo.
