Thanks to a recent price cut, the Nintendo DS family sees its highest sales week in quite some time.
The Nintendo DS has never received a price cut in Japan, and many were skeptical as to whether or not it would have an impact on Nintendo DS sales this week. Once again, Nintendo has proved those doubters wrong once again as the Nintendo DS line has seen a major sales boost in Japan thanks to the price cut.
In a distant second behind the massive Nintendo DS sales was the PSP, followed closely by the Wii. The PS3 and Wii continue to be neck-to-neck in Japan, with the Wii only edging Sony's console by 2,000 units this week.
The Xbox 360 sees a fall to just over 2,000 units for the week, but that is enough to put it ahead of the PS2 and PSPgo.
