I always wanted to be a walking eyeball.
In today’s Direct, the Sony Playstation Patapon series made its first appearance on a Nintendo console with this freshly made collection of the two original titles. The 2D rhythm-based combat now comes with cleaned-up visuals and arrives on Switch July 11th.

Yzma fan club gets a nod with a mocha latte.
In today’s Nintendo Direct, Disney Villains Cursed Café’s was announced for the Switch. The game will look familiar to fans of the Coffee Talk series, with a focus on conversations with a rogue’s gallery of classic Disney villains from Ursula to Captain Hook. If you want the Coffee Talk experience but felt it was lacking a Mickey Mouse coat of paint, then this could be for you.

Today I learned how Tamagotchi is pronounced.
The latest in the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series titled Tamogatchi Plaza has been announced for Nintendo Switch. The cutesy life simulator focuses heavily on outfit customization and small minigames, with 12 total shops to visit.
Tamagotchi Plaza comes to Switch on June 27th.

A Playstation classic arrives with a fresh coat of paint.
Saga Frontier 2, the 1999 RPG from Square Enix originally released on the Playstation 1 has been announced for Switch. The remastered title includes featured characters from the first game, post-story boss challenges, and quality of life features such as speed increase and new game +.

Don't call it a comeback
In today’s Nintendo direct it was announced that the quiet, isometric puzzler series developed by Ustwo Games have arrived on Switch. Monument Valley 1 + 2 are available for preorder today ahead of an April 15 launch, and a sequel Monument Valley 3 will be released this summer.

Pokemon Legends Z-A revealed more gameplay details today in the Nintendo Direct.
Although exploring Lumiose City is the focus during the day, nighttime will feature the "Z-A Royale", a series of battles against trainers around the city. The player will start at the Z rank and will work their way up to A rank, with those of that rank having a "wish granted".

Those hungry for golf season received a surprise from today's Nintendo Direct. Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots is the latest in Sony's long-running golf series, including single player contests, and Wacky Golf - courses with various challenges like obstacles that can fall in your way or whirlwinds. Up to four players can play together locally or online.

Starting after April 2nd's direct, the app will feature news about the Nintendo Switch 2.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion was announced in today's Nintendo Direct.
Published by DotEmu, this 2D beat-em-up features a large roster of playable heroes, online/local co-op, and a retro look similar to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is set to release on Switch this holiday.

It's back and probably weirder than ever.
After a decade out of the spotlight, Rhythm Heaven is coming back on Switch.
Rhythm Heaven Groove (known as "Rhythm Paradise Groove" in Europe), the first wholly original title in the series since 2011/12's Rhythm Heaven Fever (with the 2016 3DS game Rhythm Heaven Megamix focusing on previous titles but having some original content) was shown today and will launch on Switch next year.

Suddenly it's even more important to have a family NSO plan.
Nintendo is updating the way digital Switch games are handled beginning in April.
An update that month will create a new "Virtual Game Card" system that aims to treat digital downloads the way physical games are handled. Players will be able to "move" games from one system to another which would allow the games to be played without an internet connection, similar to how the "primary" system does now.

The last game of today's Nintendo Direct was a bit of a long awaited return.
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, the newest game in the irreverent Mii-based series, was announced today for launch in 2026. The setting is an island in the sea, and there will be new interactions.
This is the first Tomodachi product since a 2014-localized DS game.

Samus taking a page out of Ness's playbook now.
Although it didn't provide a release date, gameplay for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was shown in today's Nintendo Direct.
The gameplay showed Samus doing the traditional Prime scanning of objects on a planet called "Viewros", but also making use of psychic powers to manipulate objects in the environment and blaster fire.
