This just reported by ON24.COM .. Sony recalls 1.2 million software discs (there .. happy?) due to the problems with the DVD software, and the fact that users can punch in certain keypad sequences during boot up to allow the unit to play foreign movies not intended for the Japanese market.

ON24.COM recently reported on the rumor that Nintendo is rumored planning to incorporate cell phone functionality in it's upcoming Game Boy Advance. What is interesting, was that the story also stated that Nintendo may start selling adapters before the arrival of the GBA that would add cell phone functionality to existing Game Boy systems ...

A GBA Delay is looking more and more likely and here's some reasons why...
Obviously most of us here at Planet N2000 aren't holding their breath for a Fall release of the GBA. With the GBC selling so well (and generally no competition), it would be pointless for Nintendo to feel the need to release the new handheld. Not that 95% of the people that read this rag wouldn't purchase it upon release. Heh heh. Here's a few chunks of fun of other possible reasons why the system may be delayed.

Agatha Chapman released this following news item at FGNOnline the other day.
"Out of over 1,200 homes surveyed, nearly a quarter of respondents dubbed Nintendo as the family favorite. The recent Zogby poll pushed Nintendo out in front of the PlayStation and Dreamcast. The poll also indicated that Asians favour Sony, and African Americans favor both the N64 and PlayStation."

A game based on the "The Road to El Dorado" game is one of many Ubi Soft projects planned for Dolphin.

As previously indicated, Dolphin is on track for a 2000 release in Japan.
Nintendo of Japan announced today that they are still on schedule for an August release of GBA, and December release for Dolphin! That is good news for Nintendo in Japan. As well as people that are planning on importing one of these bad boys this year. :) Looks like I need to order one of those Learn Japanese in 8 week tape sets! Here's the fluffy goodness.
