In another GIA E3 interview, Sega's Yu Suzuki admits to researching both the GameCube and X-Box.

A couple days after I mention Ed McGlothlin and his Howard Lincoln interview, I'm browsing the GIA and find another interview he did at E3, with Sega's Yu Suzuki.

It's a quick but good interview. Here's a particularly interesting exchange:

GIA: Why did you choose the PlayStation 2 for your first home conversion outside Sega?

Europe is getting the color "Magma!" Come inside for details.

Hah! Caught ya! I bet you were thinking this is a Europe exclusive! No, this is just the European name for the Fuchisa GBA, and nothing more. It seems Nintendo can't decide on a name for this baby. Go to Puissance Nintendo for the European boxart as well as Conker asking your opinion of the site in French.

EAGB has posted new info about a new Challange Mode.

Quest is also adding in a new Challenge Mode which offers special battles outside the scope of the main story. Once they discover a special book within the game, players will be able to tackle these difficult missions at any time. Certain rare items and equipment is only attainable by beating these challenge battles.

After meeting up with the GBA Tour folks in Hershey real quick, a change to report...

Went up to Hershey Park today to catch the tail end of the GBA love-fest and didn't quite connect as well as desired but it was cool to talk it up with some of the Nintendo folks.

Still no details on where the stops will be in the coming weeks when they go to the Boston area next week and New York around the GBA launch but I did get an important detail for people wanting to catch them tomorrow while they're still in Philly.

Ed McGlothlin, Nintendophile member of the GIA, has posted a stellar impromptu interview with former NOA Chairman, Howard Lincoln. A ferocious lawyer Howard Lincoln joined Nintendo in 1983 and helped establish the company with his friend, NOA President Minoru Arakawa, and re-establish the booming video game business.

In almost unbelievable news, the hot Nintendo system in Japan of the moment isn't Game Boy Advance or GameCube. It's the Famicom (AKA the NES)! Viva Old School!

Why, Nintendophiles aren't the only ones to come outta E3 and say "X-What?" Go figure!

This morning on good ol’ FGNOnline had a report from MVC regarding Konami’s European President. The article communicates very plainly that Nintendophiles (like PGC staff) weren’t the only E3 attendees who were a little unimpressed at Microsoft’s X-Box. On the other hand, even staunch Nintendo critics had reason to take notice of the GameCube.

The Younger Plumber was bored at school today and worked to uncover several registered domain names that may be Nintendo projects. Another PGC exclusive! (Don't ya just love us?)

Just before E3, Nintendo’s site posted a list of games supposedly to be showcased at E3. The list quickly disappeared but not before we got a copy of it. We’ve now been able to further confirm some of the names mentioned in the list, through URLs registered, apparently by Nintendo.

We've gotten another report from Australia, it seems EA is indeed confirming its hit game, the Sims will come to GBA.

Our friend and former colleague in Australia, Justin Anderson, just wrote in to CONFIRM the rumors we posted earlier about Sims Advance. Apparently, Capcom may be porting the original Resident Evil to GameCube.

With Resident Evil Zero on the way, and ports of every other Resident Evil game on every system you can think of, this news certainly doesn't surprise me.

This is a rumor at the moment, but perhaps it's grounded in fact.

Apparently someone spotted the Sims for GBA on EA's release list at some point, and it's not there anymore. Still, this could easily be a game in the works. Why? Well, despite the hurdles involved in making a game like that work on such a small system, the Sims is a goldmine of gaming dollars on the PC. It only makes sense that EA would try to port it in some way to the GBA. For now, this is nothing more than rumor though.

Computer and Videogames.com claims to have some very interesting information from insiders at Interplay.

According to CVG sources, a Chinese company is buying out Interplay and their will be an official announcement to that effect within ten days or so.

So why should GameCube fans care? Perhaps this quote from CVG's source can explain it for you: "The PlayStation 2 product we showed at E3 is just the tip of the iceberg. The Gamecube games are going to be arriving in droves."
