The recent edition of Nintendo Online Magazine on Nintendo Japan's website features

an interview with the staff of Super Mario Sunshine: Director Koizumi, Director Usui,

and Producer Tezuka. Highlights of the interviews are translated below:

Game Spy have a detailed interview with Charles Martinet. It's a very nice read and includes how he became Mario, the games in which he has voiced characters, how much he likes working with Nintendo and much more.

UPDATE: Doh... the auction is only open to permanent residents of Canada.

Nintendo of Canada is sponsoring a charity event whereby 10 copies of Super Mario Sunshine are being auctioned away at eBay's Canadian site. Of course, these aren't just any old copies of SMS, they are signed by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto himself. Follow this link and bid at your own risk.

Not exact release dates, but certainly more accurate than they were previously.

Nintendo Australia recently revamped their homepage, and although the Upcoming Games list has been lost (and is presumably being rewritten with dates now), there are more accurate dates for two eagerly awaited pieces of GameCube Hardware, along with prices:

What happens when you put programmers from Dragon Quest VII and Mother together? You get Genius Sonority.

Founded last month with 100,000,000 yen of investment from Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, Genius Sonority is hiring for programmers, sound engineers, game planners, and administrative staff in Japan. The founding staff includes programmers that worked on the Dragon Quest and Mother series. The company will focus on developing RPGs for the GBA and GameCube.

Looks like the shiniest GBA will be released in Europe, and soon too.

27th September is your date for the Platinum Game Boy Advance, making a total of six colours divided through over 4 million GBAs, which is the number that has been sold in Europe. It'll sell for around 99 Euros (about £60).

NCL interviewed Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka (the game's producers), and Yoshiaki Koizumi (director) after the launch of Sunshine in Japan last month. Nintendo.com, being considerate of all us that speak English, translated it and put it up.

The recently released Xbox adventure game is coming to GameCube too.

IGNcube reports that Enclave from Starbreeze Studios and Conspiracy Entertainment will be released on GameCube (as well as PS2 and PC) this holiday season. Enclave has been getting some attention for its excellent graphic achievements on Xbox.

The skateboarding game in the style of Dark Summit will be an Xbox exclusive.

According to IGNcube, THQ has canceled the GameCube version of Toxic Grind. The game, which features story-based skateboarding action in the vein of Dark Summit, will now be released exclusively on Xbox later this year.

In speaking with the game's producers at the Midway Gamers' Day, Planet GameCube learned that Freaky Flyers will be the next GameCube title to be spread out over two discs.

Each character has a separate storyline that has accompanying FMV. Due to the fact that Freaky Flyers will include a whopping 90 minutes of FMV, they needed the extra space to cram all the video in.

We've had screens and a profile up for a couple days, but now Activision finally sets the record straight. Did someone say Co-op?
