Ah, Japan. The land of the toilet-roll hat, chopsticks with their own fans and of course, Engrish (Shine Get!). And now Japan can chalk off another task on their list of things to do with their telescopic chalk holder, as they've invented the latest chic fashion: Game Boy Color SHOES AND BOOTS.

Nintendo Japan has posted two commercials on their Star Fox Adventures web site. Star Fox Adventures is scheduled to be released on the 27th in Japan. (U.S. release date is 23th) From the commercials, it looks like the voice acting will be in English, and like Mario Sunshine, the cut scenes will have Japanese subtitles. The downloads are below:

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Super Mario Advance 3 was awarded a silver mark with the score of 31 (8,8,7,8). The other GBA game, Samurai Evolution (Enix), received a score of 28 (7,8,7,6). The only GC title reviewed, Disney Sport’s Skateboarding, received a 29 (7,7,7,8)

Ha HA! If these don't beat the crap out of the Super Mario Sunshine commercials I don't know what does. Take a look!

Final Update: According to our Nintendo sources, Zelda is still on track for a February release. From what we've been told, Zelda is a lot further along than most believe, and could actually make the February release.

Today THQ announced that their newest game, Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights, has shipped for GameCube. The game features some of the original cartoon series voice cast, including Don Knotts, Tim Conway and Tim Curry. The release doesn't mention whether or not Casey Kasem returns to play Shaggy...

Ubi Soft has released a very tiny 37 second clip of it's upcoming cel-shaded

FPS XIII.  This file may be tiny, but it's a pretty slick movie showing off

some of the games mechanics.  Neck snapping, knive throwing, and plenty of

Capcom has posted a new Biohazard 0 (Resident Evil 0) promo movie. 

Get a much better look at post train events, see plenty of new monsters and

bosses you'll be facing, and take a quick dip in the incredible music.  You'll also get to see the new mystery man in

action.  One look at this movie will get the biodrool flowing again.

New character Turbo Turtle's website currently contains downloadable movies and screenshots as well as some details about the game itself and gameplay.

The game, which will be released in September, stars the Turtle on an adventure to make his way back home from the Isle of Mazes where he has become trapped.

The GameCube upgrade to this RPG from Sega and Overworks now has a US release date. Plus, more info on the new content.

Today Sega of America confirmed that Eternal Arcadia Legend for GameCube will be released in North America in January 2003 as Skies of Arcadia Legend. The press release also notes that the game will have new sections that tell the characters' backstories and other events leading up to the original plot. Here's the official word:

According to our sources inside Nintendo, Nintendo has officially sold its share of Rare to Microsoft. Last year, Nintendo had the opportunity to purchase the company, and refused. Rare put up the for sale sign and was looked at by both Microsoft and Activision. Microsoft won the bidding war, and Nintendo cut its ties with Rare. That’s what we do know.
