Japanese website TechOn! got a chance to interview Satoru Iwata, president of all things Nintendo. The chat gives a lot of insight into the development of the controller and Nintendo's thought process in justifying their new direction for the home console market. Wii wins E3 Best of Show and Best Hardware; Nintendo bags five awards in all.
The Game Critics Awards for E3 2006 have just been announced. The awards are voted on by media publications from all over print and the Internet, and are regarded as one of the best to have under a company's belt coming out of E3.
Nintendo was the big winner, taking home five awards, including the coveted Best of Show award with the Wii. The console also took home the best Best Hardware honor.

You can already buy the Nintendo DS Lite at some Wal-Mart and Target stores around the United States.

When Nintendo announced last week that the Wii would not exceed 25,000 Yen in Japan (or $250 in America), most people were expecting a finalized price point of $199. After all, without expensive internal technology, Nintendo wouldn’t need to worry about recouping the kind of massive manufacturing costs Microsoft and Sony are experiencing. Surprisingly, though, the Wii may be even more affordable than that.

Good news came for European Nintendo fans today, as the DS Lite was announced to be released on June 26th, not only with the Pearl White edition that's coming to Australia and North America, but a yet-to-be-seen black version, too! Check it out here:
