Nintendo Announces Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii

Nintendo bundles all the Metroid Prime games into one Wii-controlled package.

Today, Nintendo announced that they are planning to bundle the Wii versions of Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption this August.

Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, originally for the GameCube, will be enhanced with precise Wii Remote controls, a widescreen presentation, and other enhancements like they were in the Japanese Wii de Asobu Metroid Prime

Natsume Announces Two New Harvest Moon Games DS

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii and Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands for DS add new features to the Harvest Moon series and will both be playable at E3.

Today, Natsume officially announced two new Harvest Moon games that will be released before the end of the year. Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii will be released in the fall, while Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands for DS will be released this summer. Both games will be playable at E3 in June.

Sega Unveils Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue for Wii and DS Wii

Sega's safari-themed arcade game returns in updated form.

Today, Sega announced that Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue will be arriving on the Wii and DS late this year. In 1999, Jambo! Safari was first released as an arcade title powered by the NAOMI arcade board, which is based on Dreamcast technology. Players will once again find themselves in the role of a safari park ranger who must rescue and care for animals, except this time with updated graphics and more depth than its arcade predecessor.

Bethesda to Target the Mature Wii Market

The publishers of Oblivion and Fallout see the potential on Wii.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Bethesda is planning to bring more Mature-rated titles on Wii.

"We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year," said Bethesda's European managing director Sean Brenan. "We've got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it's a format we're really looking at with the right approach."

Chinatown Wars Enjoys Steady Second Month of Sales DS

Capcom Officially Confirms Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom in America Wii

Today, the official Capcom blog confirmed that Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars is coming to North America. The July issue of Nintendo Power will have an article about the title and more information will be revealed at E3 next month. A video on Nintendo's Japanese Wii website reveals two more sports for their upcoming game.

According to a video on the Japanese Wii website, Table Tennis and Golf will both be featured in Nintendo's upcoming MotionPlus-featuring game, Wii Sports Resort.

Golf was previously available in the first Wii Sports, and Table Tennis was featured in Wii Play. Both games will be improved by Nintendo's new peripheral Wii MotionPlus.

Innex’s 3-in-1 Retro Adapter for Wii allows players to use classic controllers on their Wii system. By plugging this adapter into the Wii’s GameCube controller port, players can connect NES, SNES and N64 controllers for use with classic Virtual Console games.

Like other games in the New Play Control! series, Chibi Robo's controls are revamped.

The next game to receive the New Play Control! treatment in Japan is Chibi Robo. The biggest change for the Wii release is the addition of point-and-click controls to make the robot move, replacing the analog stick control in the GameCube version. The German branch of Factor 5 officially confirmed the closure of the US branch.

Today on the official website of Factor 5 GmbH, Achim Moller, the CEO of the German studio, confirmed that San Rafeal-based Factor 5, Inc. has officially closed down. The studio, responsible for the popular Rogue Squadron series, fell on hard times after the bankruptcy of business partner Brash Entertainment. That combined with the tough economic climate made it impossible for the studio to survive.

Han Solo to be Playable in Indiana Jones Video Game Wii

Harrison Ford's other famous character will appear in Lucasarts' upcoming game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.

According to a trailer on the official Star Wars website, it was revealed that everyone's favorite scruffy-looking nerf herder, Han Solo, will be playable in the upcoming Lucasarts game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. Both characters are played by actor Harrison Ford.

At this point, Han Solo appears to be nothing more than a palette swap, as the trailer shows him wielding the same weapons as Indiana Jones.
