Last week marked the release of the highly-anticipated Wii first-person shooter The Conduit from High Voltage Software. In celebration of the game's release, IGN sat down with Chief Creative Officer Eric Nofsinger and talked about what they expect of this major release.

One of the most important topics of discussion was The Conduit's sales.

Water Warfare and two other WiiWare titles arrive on the Wii Shop Channel alongside a Suduoku game for DSiWare and a sequel to a famous Sega franchise for the Virtual Console.

Xseed President Jun Iwasaki talks about how game sales affect what they localize, the likelihood of Retro Game Challenge 2, and the company's history.

Xseed Games has gained a loyal following thanks to their efforts in bringing obscure Japanese games to the Americas. Most recently they gained the publishing rights to Namco Bandai's Wii role-playing game Fragile and brought Drill Sergeant Mindstrong for WiiWare. Silicon Era sat down with Xseed President Jun Iwasaki and discussed future projects and how game sales decide what games they localize.

This DSi-enhanced title is an update to last year's music creation tool and will feature exclusive DSi features.

At a recent faux conference in Japan, AQI announced Korg DS-10 Plus, an update to last year's Korg DS-10. It will take advantage of DSi's increased technical specifications by introducing dual mode. Dual mode allows the player to create music tracks with four analog synthesizers, eight drum tracks, and twelve tracks. There are also new programmable editing tools, such as an expanded song mode and real-time editing.

Bit.Trip Core will mark an achievement for the downloadable game service when it comes out this July.

Just having finished celebrating its one year anniversary, Nintendo's WiiWare service will once again see another milestone. On July 6, 2009, Gaijin Games will release Bit.Trip Core, a follow up to Bit.Trip.Beat, which is already available on WiiWare.

The game will be WiiWare's 100th game. An image on their website confirms this..

The lovable middle-aged fairy from The Legend of Zelda series will star in a DSiWare title and a retail DS title.

Samus Aran brings sexy back with an awesome collector's tin.

Nintendo recently announced and released pictures of the box art for the upcoming release of Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii. The game will be shipping in a special tin case with a cardboard sleeve. In addition, Nintendo will be including an art book with the game.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy hits shelves on August 24 and features Wii controls and achievements across all three games. It will carry a MSRP of $49.99.

It's official. The United Kingdom has chosen the widely popular PEGI system as the sole means for rating video game content.

Following a protracted battle between the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) and the Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) body, the UK's Department for Culture, Media and Sport has decided to use the PEGI age rating system as the country's only standard for rating video games, making it enforceable under British law for the first time.

The famed game designer discusses his latest projects with Chris Kohler.

Nintendo’s console may help symptoms of depression as well.

The Wii’s championing of a healthy, active lifestyle with titles like Wii Fit may enhance the treatment for Parkinson’s disease, according to a researcher of the Medical College of Georgia. Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative disease of the brain which affects a person’s motor skills, speech and other basic functions.

The initiative hopes to make the game even more accessible to new players.

Nintendo has confirmed that their recently unveiled New Super Mario Bros. Wii will feature a help system in which players can let the game take over for them during difficult parts.

Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed this. "In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they're ready," said the famed developer.

Nintendo of Europe will be offering a Father's Day DS Lite bundle featuring Professor Layton. The bundle will include a black DS Lite and a copy of Professor Layton and the Curious Village.

The bundle will be offered at £120 (USD$195) and it is currently exclusive to Europe.

The DS RPG that seems to take inspiration from Skies of Arcadia receives its first official trailer.

Today, Ignition released the first official trailer for the air-based DS RPG, Nostalgia.

Coming this fall, the game follows the main character Eddy and a cast of Londoners as they travel the world.
