The discovery requires some quick finger work.

As of now, the trick appears to work on all firmware versions.

And amazingly, it wasn't even a close race.
The NPD hardware figures for last month are in, and it looks like all the hub-bub about the Wii being really popular has translated into big sales. According to Nintendo, 453,503 of the hard-to-find Wii consoles were purchased last month, which is an impressive 33% more than the widely available Xbox 360, which sold through more than 294k systems. The PS3 brought up the rear with 244k sold in January.

The disbanding of Capcom's most recognizable studio isn't as bad as you think.
Gamasutra recently talked to Capcom's Charles Bellfield, who is the company's vice president of marketing in the USA. He engages in a rather large interview, but the most interesting part of it is exactly what happened at Clover Studio.

The Island, the Country, the Kage and the Rage make up the four-pack variety of downloadables this week.
It's been a while since each game in a set of Virtual Console releases has been from a different platform, but here we are. The NES, SNES, Genesis and TurboGrafx are each represented with a game this week, and from the looks of it, they're all pretty good. Which ones should you get? Every one of them. If this is financially infeasible, then get a second job you should read up on each game to see which one or ones you may want to download.

Not only are consumers having a hard time finding the system, Indie developers can't get a hold of one, either.
Water Cooler Games has come across an interesting bit of information. It seems that publisher demand for Wii development kits is outstripping the supply available from Nintendo. Because of this, independent developers, to whom Nintendo said they would make Wii development kits available for, haven't got kits as of yet.
