The Switch 2 has dodged the bullet of Borderlands 4.

During their Q3 earnings call today, Take Two Interactive's upcoming release slate (which included this Friday's PGA Tour 2K25 release for Switch 2), the Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 was not on the list at all. A Take Two spokesperson issued the following statement to Variety: "We made the difficult decision to pause development on that SKU."

Both of those probably being seen coming from a couple of light years away.

Nintendo has revealed their financial results and provided sales updates through the end of calendar 2025, and the Switch 2 and Switch both ended up with record breaking quarters.

All monetary figures quoted in yen, with a comparison based on current market rate of US$1 = ¥155.957 provided for clarification only. Year over year increases also noted to be compared to the final holiday quarter of just the Switch.

Nintendo Today has revealed a Direct for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream that will air on Thursday (Jan 29) at 9:00 a.m. ET, 6:00 a.m. PT, and 10:30 in Newfoundland. The length of the presentation has not yet been disclosed. The presentation will run for 20 minutes, according to a Nintendo press email.

Nintendo has dropped another long overview trailer for an upcoming game which contains some confirmations of support.

The trailer (below) confirms that GameShare and Amiibo will both work with Fever. The GameShare works with one host system and up to 3 Switch or Switch 2 consoles, while Mario series Amiibo (as well as the Smash line's Bowser Jr.) can be used to add special ball designs.
