The follow up to Minecraft Dungeons is coming to both Switch and Switch 2. Minecraft Dungeons 2 will release on both platforms on September 29, 2026.

Complete with Offspring soundtrack.

After being previously teased by Sega, the new Crazy Taxi got a subtitle and official platform announcement at today's Xbox Showcase. Crazy Taxi World Tour will be coming to Switch 2 sometime in 2027.

It's the future's future's future's... wait, we didn't get a Devolver show this year did we?

The last long show of Saturday's parade of presentations, the Future Games Show had much more Switch 2 content than last year's and even some Switch announcements as well.

Somehow, it seems unlikely that either one of those were on anyone's radar this week.

The new Atari is going to two extremes with a remaster and a new game collection announced today.

After retail leaks earlier today, Atari officially confirmed a remastered edition of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee would be available for Switch 2 and Switch on November 3. The remaster will run the game under Unreal Engine 5, and the Switch 2 version will have a physical release.

Come for the free upgrades, stay for a pretty good pun actually.

Fellow Traveler (publishers of 1000xResist and the Citizen Sleeper games among others) held their first showcase focused on story-laden games this year. The new Switch 2 and Switch items from the show:

And a surprising number of them are cross-platform for Switch owners.

The annual Wholesome Games showcase did slow down slightly this year compared to previous years but there was still plenty of things for Switch 2 and Switch.

The Southeast Asian Games showcase saved the best bits for the end.

One of the more popular indie games on Switch has a sequel that's headed to Nintendo's sequel.

The last announcement of the Summer Game Fest-aligned Southeast Asian Games Showcase revealed a new trailer for HOA 2, a sequel to the overhead adventure that launched on the original Switch in 2021. The sequel will come out on Switch 2 this fall.

Guess we're not getting a Rise followup anytime soon.

It appears Capcom woke up one morning and chose violence, as Monster Hunter Wilds is confirmed to be in development for Switch 2.

Publisher Bandai Namco have locked in an August 28 release for the From Software developed Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. Originally released in 2022 for PC and Sony / Microsoft consoles, "Tarnished Edition" also includes the 2024 expansion Shadow of the Erdtree.

Atari has announced that Digital Eclipse will be releasing a collection of classic Toy Story video games alongside a remaster of the Toy Story 3 video game. They are scheduled for release on October 15, and will release in physical and digital forms on both Switch and Switch 2.

For the first time in thirteen years a Nintendo system is getting its Call of Duty on.

Nintendo is confirming that this year's Call of Duty, "Modern Warfare 4", will release on Switch 2 October 23 - the same day as it releases on PlayStation 5, PC, and the Xbox Series. This is the first Call of Duty on a Nintendo console since 2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts launched on the Wii U.

We will not pay all of the human monies for this.

The prototypical collectathon is coming to N64 next week.

Nintendo has confirmed that 1999's Donkey Kong 64 will make its way to the Nintendo Classics library for N64 next week (the trailer below shows June 3, likely the night of June 2 in North America). The game is infamous for having multiple collectables locked to one of the five playable characters in the game.
