The team behind Fire Emblem is now releasing educational titles.

Intelligent Systems will be releasing new DSiWare apps in Japan later this week. They are educational titles aimed to develop memory and language skills.

The first of these titles is "Write and Memorize: English Vocabulary Notebook". The title lets the player create their own flash cards and use them to practice their English and Japanese words.

The world's most helpful green block makes its return in the latest Mario adventure.

Recently on an episode of Game Trailers TV, Nintendo's Bill Trinen said that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will feature Super Guide, the help system that was used in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The system revolves around a computerized avatar taking control of the player and finishing a particularly tough level on their behalf.

Sakamoto states that nothing is in the works, but those that want the game should speak out.

Three Wii titles show up this week, but none of them can claim the top spot.

The NPD Group released its results for February 2010 this past week, showing New Super Mario Bros. Wii as the second best-selling title of the month with 555,600 copies sold. Also in the top ten are Ubisoft's Just Dance at number four with 314,300 copies sold, and Wii Sports Resort at number five with 272,800 copies sold.

Momotaro and One Piece join the already successful line-up.

It was only last month that Nintendo launched their "“Everyone’s Recommendation Selection"” budget lineup of games, which consisted of quality titles being released at budget prices. Many thought it would be a one- time thing, but Nintendo has surprised us once again by announcing that two new titles that are about to join the line-up come April.

The once Wii-exclusive Lord of the Rings title will make an appearance on the PlayStation 3 and use the PlayStation Move.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest will no longer be Wii exclusive. The motion-based title will also be making an appearance on the PlayStation 3, using the recently unveiled PlayStation Move motion controller. Aragorn's Quest will also see release on the PlayStation 2, the PlayStation Portable, and the DS.

The team returns to marathon gaming, with mystery being the theme this time around.

Right after the success of their first gaming marathon, the Zelda Marathon last November, which earned the team over $3,000 for charity, the Penguins of the Desert have announced their second charity gaming marathon. Titled "The Mystery Marathon," the team will once again play through as many games as possible in the set amount of time.

GDC attendees get first look at the Commander's new running adventure.

Bit.Trip Runner, the fourth game in Gaijin Games' Bit.Trip series, has made its playable debut at GDC. Nintendo World Report was there to witness the first footage of the game.

EA Sports Active 2.0 is coming this fall with new controllers and a robust online hub.

EA Sports is adding a heart monitor, a wireless control system, and an online hub to the tentatively titled sequel, EA Sports Active 2.0.

Coming this fall to Wii, the next game in the series adds new leg and arm straps that come with built-in motion sensors, as well as a heart rate monitor that will monitor players during their workouts.

The details are scarce, but prepare to bring the Rock this holiday season.

Today Harmonix stated on their Facebook account that EA would be distributing Rock Band 3 this holiday season.

Although they didn't give many details, they did state that the game will "innovate and revolutionize the music genre once again, just as Harmonix did with the original Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and The Beatles: Rock Band."

The creators of Art of Balance reveal their next WiiWare project.

Shin'en, the company behind Fun! Fun! Fun! Mini Golf and Art of Balance, announced their latest WiiWare game, Jett Rocker.

The title is a 3D action/platformer that will have players visiting the planet Yoroppa as it is attacked by the evil Power Plant Posse. Jett will use a Jet Boat, parachute from giant cliffs, use a snowboard, and fly with his Jet Pack.

Four Lady Gaga songs, along with the South Park rendition of "Poker Face," will be downloadable next week.

Harmonix and MTV Games are bringing Lady Gaga to Rock Band next Tuesday with four downloadable songs, including "Bad Romance," "Just Dance," Monster," and "Poker Face."

Additionally, South Park character Eric Cartman's rendition of "Poker Face" will be released as well.

Each song will be 200 Wii Points ($2) and will be available on March 16.

The creators of Nintendo's Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory suffer financial troubles in Japan.

On March 1, developer Cing began the process of declaring bankruptcy in Japan. The company currently lists a debt of 256,000,000 yen (2.5 million USD), and their case is being handled by Japanese legal firm Mihoko Kido.
