More N-Sider goodness. Panasonic has just confirmed its own handheld gaming console. Waitaminute, isn't Panasonic an ally of Nintendo?!? Seems kinda competitive. With friends like these...
Well, it looks as if the rumors were true. Panasonic is planning their own handheld, bluetooth compatible at that. The fine people at Core Magazine have a nice little interview with the man himself, Miyamoto-sensei. While it's not incredibly long, we get a glimpse of one of the more important NGC variables: namely the number of games available at launch.

N-Sider has just cooked up quite the treat. It's a profile of the man him self, Miyamoto. It's rather long, so make sure you keep a soda handy to keep awake. It chronicles everything from the start of his childhood on. It's quite the interesting read and you all should check it out.

Remember the super-elusive, ultra rare, wowee-I-want-one, collectors' edition gold-colored N64 controllers? Well, we know where you can get one!
If you've been a long time Nintendo follower, you know that one of the coveted things to get for your N64 was the limited edition gold controller. Nintendo Power sold them for a very short period of time, and you could get one from Toys R' Us with a system about 4 years ago. But it was a pretty difficult task to find one. Hell, I paid 70 bucks for one online 3 years ago.

A Zelda II demo is being shown as a development tool for GBA. Could it be something more, like a game? What does it mean?
The Nintendo Project have just reported on a tweaked demo of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (that's right, the NES game) running on Gameboy Advance. Apparently, much of the demo centers around moving an overworld map of Zelda 2 with features such as rotation; scrolling; transparency; and zoom. Thanks... Read more...

Activision has made it clear that intends to support next-generation consoles, including Nintendo's GameCube.
Yes, I'm sad to report that two of the Planet's pals (& 2 of my favorite sites) are currently out-of-commission. Both RareNet and Nintendojo are currently offline, due to the untimely demise of Negative Zero Networks. Since I recommended NZ to both these guys ages back, I feel a little bit guilty... Even though this doesn't have to do with NGC or GBA, it's about a Star Wars game. And that's really enough to merit your attention, isn't it?
The boys in the box got a nice interview with the LucasArts Team that is working on The Battle for Naboo. Not too shabby. Yeah, it's not NGC or GC related, but it's Star Wars. This could be the team that will be bringing an Episode II game to the NGC! Outside of Rogue Squadron 2, you know you're going to see plenty of Star Wars on the next generation of Nintendo systems. May the Schwartz be with you...
