It's not called GnG4 and it's not on GameCube. Still, we think Nintendophiles have reason to smile. Meet Maximo!
Prior to E3, we ran a rumor that Capcom was working on a new Ghosts n’ Goblins and that it could very well appear on GameCube. As soon as we hit E3, it turned out that part of this was true. The long rumored 3D Ghosts n’ Goblins finally made its appearance as Maximo: Ghosts to Glory though it... Read more...

Check out this very simple and yet completely humorous ad Nintendo had on the back of today's E3 Show Daily. Nothing more to say, the ad speaks for itself.

It's dark and you have a GBA, what the hell do you do? Grab one of these new sweet lights for the GBA!
I stopped by Nyko's booth today, and they showed me their new products for the Game Boy Advance. I've been a fan of their Worm Light for the GBC, so I've been rather looking forward to their new lights.
Nyko's new lights will blow you away. Particularly their new "Ufo Light". It has interchangable... Read more...

Rumors were floating around the net about Saffire pulling support for all GameCube projects. PGC uncovers the wonderful truth.
I talked with Dave Rushton of Saffire earlier today and asked him about the rumors about Saffire cancelling all of their GameCube titles and supporting XBox.
Dave laughed and completely denied those rumors. He stated that there were still a couple of GameCube titles in the works, and that you shouldn't always believe what you read on the internet.

With E3 upon us, the world has been bombarded with beautiful GameCube shots, but they have a few jaggies.
Anyone who's been following this chaotic story, is probably wondering what is going on with GameCube and SPAA (sub-pixel anti-aliasing). Well, we're wondering too actually. None of the games on the show floor were using any anti-aliasing (but they still look fantastic). In any case, Nintendo's... Read more...

It isn't GameCube related but I can't imagine any Nintendo fan wouldn't find it at least somewhat entertaining...
OK, people were waiting for it to happen... praying for it to happen... Well, apparently it has now officially happened.
Here's the quote you'll want to see:
There were also indications that the hardware is not entirely stable yet - a crash during Nightcaster revealed a familiar looking... Read more...

You already wanted to name your children after him, now find out how Steven Kent feels about the major contenders after the opening of E3...
I won't delay you long, you'll just want to dig in and see what Steven thinks of the show so far. He sums up his thoughts on all three major contenders with statements about Nintendo's control of the crowd, Sony's marketing muscle, and Microsoft's seeming failure to do what it has to... oh, and a little about PC games as well.

Want to see more of what may be shaping up to be one of the must-haves for GameCube launch. Check it out...
Hoo boy, since we hate it when people leech our pics from another site I won't do it to the fine folks at NCL but these pics have to be seen. Many of them may be renders (it is getting hard to tell), but there are some gameplay shots as well that are worth taking a gander at.
For a game to move that fast and still look THAT good? Nintendo has an easy million-seller in this package.

Could Luigi's Mansion be just one world of a much larger game? Is this indeed just part of the new Mario? PGC investigates.
In discussing the Luigi's Mansion demo shown at the press conference yesterday, our man Billy Berghammer expressed that he still thinks Luigi's Mansion is just part of a much bigger Mario game. This morning, after about half an hour on the show floor, Andres (BreakyBoy) told me that he already beat... Read more...

Rick has just returned from the Keynote Address to kick off E3. Get his impressions inside ...
Well, the keynote address has just concluded, and PETERMAINCO was in top form, inciting the crowd to applause on several occasions. For the most part, the keynote was fairly dry, just the heads of the companies talking about what the plan is for the next year. But since we are a Nintendo-site, we’ll just give you the notes from the Nintendo end of the conference, covering the bases not covered at the Press Briefing yesterday.

Check it out... the wacky Brits have completely revamped their site just in for the new era of Nintendo gaming.
With the exception of their Forum (and the fact that I can't find Mr. Pants as of yet) it appears no major features were sacrificed in the push to give the site a slick new look. Old favorites like Scribes and Ask Uncle Tusk are still kicking around so don't fear losing your chance to pick up some occasional humor from the site.

A very short news piece that confirms that the GCN/DVD Player is U.S. bound.
A short and concise news article revealed that Matsushita's GameCube enabled DVD/CD player will ship in Japan shortly after the September 14th launch date. More noteworthy is the fact that the unit will indeed be coming to the U.S., though not until their 2002/2003 business year (which probably means... Read more...

Wonder what it would be like to take part in Nintendo's most important press conference in 5 years? Take a step inside and find out.
How did this happen? How did I get from skipping school for a couple of days last May just to read about the Dolphin and Nintendo’s various attractions to waiting outside a gate with dozens upon dozens of fellow journalists, anticipating what is going to be one of Nintendo’s highest monumental days, and one that I will never forget.

PGC broke first news on Rare’s secret title to be showcased at E3. The show is about to start and we now know its name: Kameo.
Last week, PGC dropped a bombshell: Rare was working on a secret game featuring a female protagonist who could take the forms and abilities of monsters. During Nintendo’s press conference, video footage was shown of a title that was unmistakably the game we reported on earlier. It’s called Kameo: Elements of Power, it’s coming to GameCube and it looks amazing.
