Seriously. I am downloading it right now.

Fire Emblem: Awakening is now available on the eShop in North America for $39.99. The game clocks in at 8,579 blocks.

The first downloadable pack, called Champions of Yore 1, has been available since late last week, but now that you can get the game, you can also download that and play it once you get to Chapter 5 in the main game.

Read our glowing review of Fire Emblem: Awakening and its DLC for more details.

Yeah it is.

Checked it 30 minutes early. Sometimes impatience pays off. : )

Sure hope people buy this game. The 3DS could use a new system seller beyond just Mario games.

How long is the first DLC available and free??

Eh, they've been marketing and pushing it hard enough, but....will this catch fire?  I doubt it.  People in general don't like hard games.

This isn't the type of game I'd want to download, but I am hoping the shipping issues people have been experiencing will go away later this week because I do plan on picking this up.

So then they play it on Normal/Casual.

Easy peasy.

Guess I will download this right now.

Not sure I want to download this game... but that's because I greatly prefer physical over digital in general.

Fire Emblem has a ton of replay value and is a tremendous game. For people who don't suffer from my antiquated hang-up, it's a great candidate for digital download - especially since so many retailers are suffering from limited stock due to delayed shipments.

Downloading now!

I got lucky and found what I think was the last retail copy left in my city.  It was out of stock EVERYWHERE!  Making the switch to digital will come eventually, but not today!!
