Gamers in Japan get some Wii U love before everyone else.

Nintendo will hold a special Wii U Launch Presentation tomorrow, September 13 at 4 p.m  (3 a.m. ET, midnight PT in North America) in Japan. The event will reveal information about Nintendo’s next generation console’s price and release date and will be streamed live on Ustream and Nico Nico Video. You can also access on Nintendo’s special Japanese Wii U page here for more details.

North America, Europe, and Australia all have events on September 13 as well, but start a few hours later than the Japanese Wii U Launch Presentation. For times for those events, please feel free to check that information out here.

So Japan couldn't stand NoA being the first to get the message out.

This is as it should be. I would have been shocked if the big announcement news wasn't revealed in Japan first, or at least simultaneously with other territories.

Nintendo is a Japanese company.

For the same reasons, I also concur with some of the Famicrew's prediction that WiiU will launch in Japan first, maybe as early as October 25.
