Bit.Trip Core will mark an achievement for the downloadable game service when it comes out this July.
Just having finished celebrating its one year anniversary, Nintendo's WiiWare service will once again see another milestone. On July 6, 2009, Gaijin Games will release Bit.Trip Core, a follow up to Bit.Trip.Beat, which is already available on WiiWare.
The game will be WiiWare's 100th game. An image on their website confirms this..

The lovable middle-aged fairy from The Legend of Zelda series will star in a DSiWare title and a retail DS title.
The latest issue of Famitsu revealed that Tingle, the weird Legend of Zelda character, will have two new games based around him, including one of which is already out now.

Samus Aran brings sexy back with an awesome collector's tin.
Nintendo recently announced and released pictures of the box art for the upcoming release of Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii. The game will be shipping in a special tin case with a cardboard sleeve. In addition, Nintendo will be including an art book with the game.
The Metroid Prime Trilogy hits shelves on August 24 and features Wii controls and achievements across all three games. It will carry a MSRP of $49.99.

It's official. The United Kingdom has chosen the widely popular PEGI system as the sole means for rating video game content.
Following a protracted battle between the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) and the Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) body, the UK's Department for Culture, Media and Sport has decided to use the PEGI age rating system as the country's only standard for rating video games, making it enforceable under British law for the first time.

The initiative hopes to make the game even more accessible to new players.
Nintendo has confirmed that their recently unveiled New Super Mario Bros. Wii will feature a help system in which players can let the game take over for them during difficult parts.
Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed this. "In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if a player is experiencing an area of difficulty, this will allow them to clear troubled areas and take over when they're ready," said the famed developer.

Today, Ignition released the first official trailer for the air-based DS RPG, Nostalgia.
Coming this fall, the game follows the main character Eddy and a cast of Londoners as they travel the world.

A U.S. District court judge recently dismissed a lawsuit brought by Guardian Media Technologies made against Nintendo involving a patent and the Wii Remote.
Guardian Media Technologies claims that Nintendo violated one of their patents when creating the Wii Remote. The case was dismissed on June 8.

A whopping three WiiWare titles grace the Wii Shop Channel as well as the first entry to the Virtual Console Arcade since launch and two DSiWare applications.
This week in Nintendo Downloads proves to be larger than normal for WiiWare with a total of three new titles appearing for the service. Life's no Hakuna Matata in this WiiWare-exclusive title.
Finnish game developer Lapland Studio along with publisher Inaria Interactive has announced Lead the Meerkats, a simulation/strategy hybrid for WiiWare.
Players take on the role of a lone meerkat who is separated from her pack. She has to create her own pack by making alliances with other meerkats by helping them search for food, defending them from predators, or helping to attack them.
