Nintendo has posted a specifications sheet for the Nintendo 3DS on their Japanese website, and it has a few interesting tidbits of information.

You'll be able to get out to a Home menu, and even browse the Internet, without leaving a game.

Nintendo DSi software can be moved to the device, but there is apparently a limit to the number of moves that can be performed, and some software cannot be moved.

Nintendo's Japanese website has been updated with a full release schedule covering announced Nintendo 3DS games for this year. Game titles and releases are subject to change, and titles that are yet to be announced may still appear this year. Additionally, many of the titles are series that have only been released in Japan.

Players hankering for more Okami adventures can try out the upcoming game at their local retailer.

An official Twitter post by Capcom confirms that a demo of Okamiden will be available at select retailers in the US. Some of these include Fry's, Target, Toys R' Us, and Wal-Mart.

The North American release date for Okamiden is March 15, while European players will see the game on March 18. Only the US will receive this demo. In Japan a demo of the game was available through the Nintendo Channel.

Pokemon fanatics can obtain one of the three legendary dogs in honor the upcoming Pokemon Black and White.

Nintendo and GameStop have announced that they will be giving away shiny versions of the three legendary dogs, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Shiny Pokemon are some of the rarest Pokemon in the games, and feature a different color scheme from their regular counterparts. Each week the store will be giving a different legendary dog. Nintendo will be privately showing the 3DS to press.

Nintendo will be demonstrating the 3DS in private at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week.

A Twitter post from Rich Gallagher (@Gallagher_Rich), a self-titled "PR Guy" for Golin Harris' Nintendo account, confirmed the 3DS would be on hand. He tweeted this morning that he would be "happy to show [Clayton Morris of Fox News] the Nintendo 3DS at #CES tomorrow. DM me for deets.”

Nintendo's 3D handheld can now be reserved at stores nationwide.

Video game retailer GameStop has started accepting pre-orders for the 3DS, according to several retailer reports.

The pre-orders started on December 26, the day after Christmas. Players that decide to reserve the system will have to put down $50 minimum (though sources at NeoGAF state that the minimum is $25 in some stores).
