"Told no" when they tried to get the NES classic on the Wii's downloadable retro library.
In a recent interview with 1UP, Capcom's Ben Judd said that they "couldn't get (Bionic Commando) approved for the Virtual Console." With the pending release of a remake of the game and an upcoming release of a new Bionic Commando game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Judd was disappointed that they couldn't work it out.

The legendary time-travelling RPG will make its belated debut in PAL territories on DS in the early part of next year.
Square Enix has announced that Chrono Trigger will launch across Europe and other PAL territories for Nintendo DS in early 2009, marking the end of a fourteen year wait for the Super NES classic to make an appearance in those regions.

Wario flops into the charts and barely makes a splash.
This was a mixed week for Nintendo with continuing high sales of Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit, but a disappointing start for Wario Land: Shake It.
In fact, if it weren't for Dragon Quest, Sony would own the top half of the charts entirely. However, Square Enix's fifth Nintendo DS remake seems to be doing very well and should easily take one million units in the next few weeks.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride released for the Nintendo DS nearly two weeks ago in Japan with a form of copy protection to prevent the distribution of pirated copies of the game. Scientists and doctors worldwide will now need to add a new word to their expansive vocabulary, particularly those involved with human vision. Pikachurin is a protein discovered and named by a group of 18 Japanese research scientists at the Osaka Bioscience Institute. An early, Japan-only PS2 masterpiece by Suda51 is seeing release on the DS this fall.
Rising Star Games announced today that Suda51's Japan-only PS2 game, Flower, Sun and Rain, is being localized and ported to DS in Europe this fall. The game is a mystery title written and directed entirely by Goichi Suda, known to most as Suda51 for his work on titles such as Killer7 and No More Heroes.

When Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars was announced by Nintendo at their E3 2008 press conference, it seemed pretty out of place with the fare they were offering up that morning. Nintendo and 54 other game software companies take R4 distributors to court citing the Unfair Competition Prevention Law as their legal grounding.
Nintendo filed a lawsuit today with the Tokyo District Court against companies distributing the "R4 Revolution for DS." For those unfamiliar, the device allows gamers to play ROMs on their DS systems. After downloading illegal ROMs from the internet players need only to transfer them to a mini-SD card and insert it into the R4 DS game shell.

From this point forward, Kuju London will be known as Headstrong Games.
Today, one of the seven development studios under Kuju Entertainment has rebranded themselves as Headstrong Games. Kuju London, developers of Nintendo's Battalion Wars series, will be known as Headstrong Games from now on.
In the announcement of their new name, Headstrong revealed that they are working on a soon-to-be-announced title with Sega as well as a number of other projects.
