Sin & Punishment 2 Hands-On Footage Wii

If you want hardcore shooter action, look no further.

One of the most highly-anticipated Wii games amongst the Nintendo hardcore is Sin & Punishment 2: Star Successor. We had a chance to go hands-on with the title at Nintendo's recent Media Summit, and we think Aaron's hands are still smoking from the experience.

Max & the Magic Marker Direct-Feed Footage Wii

If you don't know about this WiiWare game, now you do. And it's awesome. And you should buy it on March 8.

NWR had a chance to go hands-on with Press Play's incredibly cool upcoming WiiWare title Max & the Magic Marker. Reminiscent of Scribblenauts, you draw objects on the screen with your Wii Remote, and they appear exactly as you draw them. It easier to show than describe, so on to the direct-feed footage!

Aaron plays Tetris and flexes his trivia muscles.

Shortly after Nintendo's Media Summit, we had a chance to visit with the team from Tetris Online, Inc., developers of upcoming DS title Tetris Party Deluxe.

The gameplay here is interesting, but also listen to the conversation between Aaron and the Tetris Online representative. Aaron again shows why he's the Nintendo trivia master, offering them a tidbit of information about Tetris in Japan that even they didn't know!

Media Summit Interview with Team Meat Wii

We catch Team Meat on the floor of the Nintendo Media Summit, and they have us on the floor, comedically speaking.

NWR's roving reporting reporter Aaron Kaluszka ran into Team Meat, creators of Super Meat Boy, at the Nintendo Media Summit this week. He cornered them and forced them into a no-holds-barred interview in which the team described their stalking of Reggie Fils-Aime.

Super Meat Boy Direct-Feed Footage Wii

Meat + buzzsaw = messy.

NWR had some hands-on time with Super Meat Boy at Nintendo's Media Summit, and we managed to snag some direct feed footage.

In this first video, we take a look at the game's unique platforming. Wow, that meat really splatters when it hits a buzzsaw.

This second video shows some later levels, in which Meat Boy is engulfed in shadows. Scary!

Monster Hunter Tri Hands-On Video Wii

Our own Aaron Kaluszka got some hands-on time with Monster Hunter Tri at Nintendo's recent Media Summit, and he brought along his camera. He was brave enough to get this footage of a monster hunter's exploits in the wilderness!

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Trailer Wii

Mario, Yoshi, and paragoombas appear in this new trailer for the beautiful 3D platformer.

Nintendo unveiled a new trailer for Super Mario Galaxy 2 at the Nintendo Media Summit. In the trailer, Mario deals with a number of familiar foes like paragoombas and boos. Yoshi is also shown swinging around the levels using his tongue.

Nintendo Reveals Upcoming Release Schedule

The release dates for a slew of upcoming games were announced at the Nintendo Media Summit.

At this morning's Nintendo Media Summit in San Francisco, Nintendo announced the release dates for a number of highly anticipated games.

Metroid: Other M Launches June 27 Wii

The next chapter in the Metroid saga hits early this summer.

Metroid: Other M, the latest entry in the storied franchise, will launch in North America on June 27 2010.

The game, which is being co-developed by Nintendo and Tecmo's Team Ninja, will focus on Samus' character. At their Q1 Media Summit, Nintendo said, "When you finish playing this, you're going to feel like you know Samus in a way you've never known her before".

Picross 3D Hits May 3 DS

The classic puzzler from a new point of view.

Today at the Q1 Media Summit, Nintendo announced that Picross 3D will be released May 3.

The game is a sequel to the 2005 DS game Picross, and features puzzles called nonograms, which involve filling in a grid to reveal a picture. The game, which was developed by HAL Laboratory, was released in Japan last March, and is set to launch in Europe on March 5.

Nintendo Download Platforms Earned $125 Million in 2009 Wii

FADE study shows a decline in Virtual Console revenue, while WiiWare comes on strong.

An annual report issued by Forecasting and Analyzing Digital Entertainment (FADE) estimates that Nintendo's WiiWare and Virtual Console platforms combined for $125 million in revenue in 2009, with Virtual Console edging out WiiWare overall ($66 million and $59 million, respectively) thanks to holiday sales.

Black Wii Launches in Australia March 11 Wii

Take a spin on the dark side.

Today, Nintendo announced the release date for the Black Wii system in Australia. The system will be available on March 11, and will be bundled with Wii Sports and a black Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

Australia is the third territory in which the Black Wii has been launched, including Japan and Europe. Although no Black Wii release date has been confirmed for North America, the black Wii Remote launched late last year.
