Nintendo Announces new Limited Edition GameCube GC

All you Japanese Baseball fans will be very interested.

Nintendo of Japan has announced that if the Hanshin Tigers, a Japanese baseball team, win the league championship a special commemorative GameCube will be released to honor the occasion. The system will be pin-striped and will sport the 2003 Champions logo. The bundle is being released as an enjoyment plus pack which includes a Game Boy Player. Have a Freeloader? Looking to import F-Zero for the GameCube? You might want to reconsider. Updated with new info!

Codejunkies has posted codes for the GameCube Action Replay which will fix the F-Zero screen issues if you're using that to play import games. There is no fix for the standard Freeloader which doesn't accept codes.

SEC Investigates Videogame Companies

Acclaim, Activision and THQ need to submit information to the commission.

The three videogame giants admitted to recieving letters from the Security and Exchanges Commssion that asked them for information about their accounting practices. The SEC said that this request was in no way indicative that any crimes were broken, so the three companies saw every reason to fully cooperate.

The official F-Zero website has updated again. As a service to you, the readers, we're telling you all the juicy details about the new items added to the site.

The big update can be found on the GX game page, in the form of a story mode teaser. The movie shows off Black Shadow in a side-by-side race with an as-of-yet unknown pilot. The Black Bull crashes, and the mystery man comes up and threatens Shadow. Quite interesting.

If you still have any doubts about this game, then two new movies will probably change your mind in a heartbeat.

When the game was first revealed, some doubters complained about the tweaking of the combat system and sense of speed would be bad for the game. Perhaps Acclaim has realized that people still feel this way, so they've released two new movies: One showcasing the weaponry, and one showing off the sense of speed.
