Level-5 decided to take the
route of releasing two different versions of the last two Inazuma Eleven
games, in a similar way to the Pokemon series, but apparently two is not enough. They are planning a

The Eternal Darkness devs are taking a crack at Marvel's mutants.
Silicon Knights is leading development of the upcoming Activision-published X-Men game, X-Men: Destiny, according to IGN.
The game, revealed earlier today, puts you in the shoes of a new mutant recruit in a branching storyline with lots of choice. The style of the gameplay is unknown, but it is likely to an RPG, especially since Silicon Knights was rumored to be working on a Marvel RPG prior to the announcement.

Fans can get their hands on some GoldenEye at Activision's booth.
Activision revealed their New York Comic Con lineup today, which includes GoldenEye 007, Blood Stone, and Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.
GoldenEye 007 is also being shown off at Nintendo's booth at New York Comic Con. It is unknown if the DS version, developed by n-Space, will be shown at the event. Additionally, it is unknown if the DS version of Blood Stone, which hasn't been shown off much, will be playable.

Sonic games with a below average Metacritic score will no longer be on sale.
Sega have announced that they have de-listed Sonic titles with average or below average Metacritic scores. From now, such titles will no longer be available to buy new at retail.
"Any Sonic game with an average Metacritic has been de-listed," Sega’s SVP of EMEA Jurgen Post told MCV in an interview. "We
have to do this and increase the value of the brand. This will be very
important when more big Sonic releases arrive in the future."

The Super Mario All-Stars package will be released in Europe in December.
Yet another 25th Mario Anniversary-related annoucement today, with Super Mario All-Stars (known as Super Mario Collection in Japan) confirmed for European release on December 3, 2010.
The complete package as released in Japan, with Super Mario All-Stars for Wii, a booklet detailing Mario's history, and a soundtrack CD with tracks from 25 years of Mario games is included in the red box set. Pricing remains to be announced.

The redesigned Wii Remote gets a release date in Japan.
Nintendo's official site has revealed the Japanese release date for the Wii Remote Plus (called Wii Remocon Plus in Japan), a re-design of the Wii Remote that comes with the Wii MotionPlus gyroscope already integrated into it. The controller is the same size as the regular controller, and will come in five different colors: white, black, blue, pink and red.

The red Wii will include the Wii Remote Plus and a special pre-loaded game.
In honor of Nintendo's still on-going Super Mario Bros. 25th anniversary festivities, the company has announced a special edition Wii.
Called the Wii Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary, the bundle will include a red Wii console and controller. The controller will be the recently revealed Wii Remote Plus. The bundle will also include a red controller jacket and a red Nunchuck.

The latest DS Kingdom Hearts title will see a release early next year.
Square Enix recently opened their North American website for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, the second Kingdom Hearts game to be released for the DS. The official website revealed the release date, and a press release has confirmed that the US launch will be January 11, 2011.

Gaia, a studio formed by a former Atlus employee, might not be in existence anymore.
Cosmic Walker, a space-based game set to be published by Nintendo and developed by Gaia, could be close to being officially canceled. The developer's website is currently empty except for a sentence that translates to "Sorry, this website is now inactive."

The Epic chief theorizes that the Nintendo 3DS falls below the Unreal Engine minimum specifications.

Club Nintendo US will have this prize available tomorrow.
The Mario Galaxy and Animal Crossing-themed paper fans previously seen on the Club Nintendo Japan website are coming to Club Nintendo US.
One fan will come to a total of 300 coins, with four designs to choose from. Check the catalog tomorrow to order yours.
These are in fact no longer listed in the Japanese Club Nintendo catalogue, so for now, the US pages are the only place to order one.

Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids will star in a new series of animated shorts.
In partnership with Aardman, Ubisoft is producing a pilot and several episodes of an animated short feature based on the Rabbids characters.
"When the opportunity arose to work with Ubisoft on the Rabbids we leapt at it, we absolutely love the characters and can’t wait to help bring them to a television audience," Miles Bullough, head of broadcast at Aardman, said. The company created the Wallace and Gromit series.

Play the games, get some swag, and meet some producers.
Capcom confirmed their New York Comic Con lineup today, and it will include Ghost Trick and Okamiden for DS, and Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes for Wii.
The company will also be doling out lots of swag. There are Okamiden headbands, silly bands, and limited edition t-shirts. Fans of Sengoku Basara can take place in a march through the show floor by becoming one of the 100 fans who wear a Basara clan t-shirt.

Expects them to be in line with current Nintendo DS prices.
At the recent investors' Q&A, Satoru Iwata mentioned that games for the Nintendo 3DS will be pretty much in line with the current price of Nintendo DS games.
He later went on to comment, "We don't believe that the world is in a state where high priced software will sell well, so we don't believe it will be in a price range too far off from current DS software."

There are new Dragon Quest IX maps and a full roster of past and future releases.
Nintendo is bringing eight games to New York Comic Con, which is taking place this weekend (October 8, 9, and 10) at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.
Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Wii Party, and Metroid: Other M headline the Wii side of things, in addition to Activision's GoldenEye, which is the lone non-Nintendo-published title available.
