With news of various outlets who've taken pre-orders to date being quickly overrun with people any red-blooded Nintendo fan has to have begun to worry a little. Oddly enough, the store of choice for many gamers out there to date hasn't had any solid plans for if/when/how they would handle pre-orders. Now that has changed, and here's the skinny...

It's a little late, but the GameShark has finally arrived for Game Boy Advance.

Originally expected for launch, InterAct has finally released the GBA GameShark. New features include a PC link-up cable for downloading codes directly from GameShark.com...you'll never have to manually enter codes again (though you still can, of course). The product comes pre-loaded with codes for 25 GBA games, mainly the launch titles with a few more that have been released since then.

Suddenly, I have to own this game.

Today Acclaim Entertainment announced that Terry "Hulk" Hogan, one of the most famous pro wrestlers of all time, has signed on to endorse the upcoming Legends of Wrestling game, which is coming to GameCube as well as other systems.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem will be delayed until February 11, 2002 for a MSRP of $49.95.

According to the popular Japanese news site GC Inside, Konami will be showing off 2 GameCube games at TGS 2001!

GC Inside has confirmed that Konami will be showing Jikkyou World Soccer 2002 and ESPN International Winter Sports 2002 for GameCube at the Fall Tokyo Game Show 2001. Though their progress was not mentioned, it is very likely that at least one of the two games will be playable on the GameCube. With two GCN games from a major developer at TGS, Nintendo is showing the public that it truely does have third party support.

Hoping to repeat Pokemon's rags-to-riches story, Nintendo is offering money to small developers with vision.

According to the Nihon Keizai newspaper in Japan and as reported by Bloomberg news, Nintendo is offering 10 to 20 million yen (about $83,000 to $166,000) per small developer for trial versions of prospective games. If Nintendo is impressed with the demo, they may choose to fund the rest of the game.

The popular fighting series branches out to GameCube.

According to GC-Inside, Bloody Roar Extreme has been confirmed for GameCube in 2002. It's not yet clear whether Extreme will be an enhanced version of Bloody Roar 3, which was recently released for PS2, or a completely new sequel to the series. Veteran Nintendo supporter Hudson is apparently the publisher.

Another third-party publisher jumps onto the Nintendo train.

Xicat, publisher of Carmageddon 3 for the PC and Wetrix on Dreamcast, has confirmed support for both GameCube and Game Boy Advance. The company told GameCube Advanced that their first products for these systems will be arriving in Q2 2002, and that the first info on those projects will be released soon.

Could THPS3 be coming out at launch? Some seem to think so...

According to N-sider's sources, Activision is attempting to get Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 released alongside the GameCube system. But such an act may require cutting out one or two of the extra features, making it almost exactly like the PS2 version (sans the online support). Activision is undoubtedly assessing the situation as the days go by.

IGN confirms that a switch can be added to Japanese Cubes to allow playing of US software ...

While there are no details yet (and trust us, we're looking), IGN has "confirmed" that a switch can be added to the GameCube that will allow you to toggle between regions.

While this won't allow you to play copied games, this is a boon for those of us that like to import titles that won't ever be released in the US.
