Nintendo President Satoru Iwata says that plans for a video download service for the Wii may also extend to the Nintendo DS.
Last year, Nintendo made an announcement that they will be partnering with a Japanese ad agency by the name of Dentsu to start a video service for the Wii sometime in 2009 in Japan. This service will feature free videos that are supported by advertisements, and pay-to-view content.

Tales of Graces, the 12th main game in Namco Bandai's Tales series, is coming to Wii this year.
The latest issue of Japan's Weekly Shounen Jump magazine has announced three new titles in the Tales series of RPG, Tales of Graces for the Wii being the only one announced for Nintendo consoles. Graces is the mothership title (main line Tales game) that Namco Bandai has been hinting at for the past year.

Vogster Entertainment has announced the next game in their Robocalypse real-time strategy series.
Vogster Entertainment has announced a new WiiWare title, Robocalypse : Beaver Defense, the follow-up to last year's comedic real-time strategy DS game Robocalypse. Set for a summer release, Beaver Defense is a tower defense-style game that features wise-cracking robots with humorous weaponry and upgradeable skills. Along with a single player campaign, there will also be a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

A new video on Nintendo's website reveals more games for Nintendo's new DSiWare service. The unreleased games, all published by Nintendo, have all seen release in Japan but haven’t previously been confirmed for U.S. release.

The gaming world rejoices, Nintendo counts its money, and GameStop has a midnight launch party in L.A.
The Nintendo DSi is officially available in North America as of today, and Nintendo had a party at the Universal CityWalk GameStop in Los Angeles to commemorate the occasion. Nintendo Executive VP of Sales and Marketing Cammie Dunaway was there to personally hand a DSi to the first purchaser in line, and the band Gym Class Heroes also made an appearance. High Voltage has one good-looking FPS in the latest trailer.
Sega's latest trailer for The Conduit was released a while back (I actually thought it was up already since it's been sitting on my desktop, but in my old age I must have been distracted by Wheel of Fortune...mmmm Sajak), and it's looking great. This newest clip really shows off what High Voltage is doing in terms of environments and enemies, and shows how you can blow up stuff real good.

Nintendo fans in Australia and New Zealand got a special treat today, with the release of the Nintendo DSi in both territories. Nintendo Australia has posted photos of a near-midnight launch party at an EB Games in Melbourne.
The Nintendo DSi is available for $299 AUD and $375 NZD.

Epicenter Studios has released a new trailer for its upcoming Real Heroes: Firefighter. Hot off the presses from GDC 2009, this clip shows you running into buildings, dousing flames, and rescuing people from cars.

The latest interview with the Nintendo President is translated just before the game's North American release.
The latest in the Iwata Asks series of interviews is with the team behind Rhythm Heaven (known as Rhythm Tengoku in Japan, and Rhythm Paradise in PAL territories).
The interview has been available for some time on the Nintendo of Japan website, but to commemorate the release of the game in North America it has now been fully translated.

Launching with the DSi this weekend, the DSi Shop will open with five DSiWare games available for download.
Accompanying the release of the DSi on April 5th, five DSiWare games will be available for purchase from the DSi Shop on the day of launch.
The games announced for North America are WarioWare: Snapped!, Bird & Beans, Brain Age Express: Math, Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face, and Art Style: AQUIA. The same titles will be ready for the European launch two days in advance, with the names of certain games differing slightly.
