Rock Band gets a little bit country in this new track pack.

Nashville will finally have representation in Rock Band with the upcoming Rock Band Country Track Pack. This new collection of 21 songs features artists like Kenny Rogers, The Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain, and Rascal Flats. Some of these tracks will be exclusive to the Track Pack for a limited time, and will join Rock Band’s online song store MTV GAMES, HARMONIX and EA HEAD TO NASHVILLE WITH ROCK BAND COUNTRY TRACK PACK

Like other games in the New Play Control! series, Chibi Robo's controls are revamped.

The next game to receive the New Play Control! treatment in Japan is Chibi Robo. The biggest change for the Wii release is the addition of point-and-click controls to make the robot move, replacing the analog stick control in the GameCube version. Motion controls have also been added to the in-game chores, such as sliding the Wii Remote back and forth to clean paw prints with a toothbrush.

The German branch of Factor 5 officially confirmed the closure of the US branch.

Today on the official website of Factor 5 GmbH, Achim Moller, the CEO of the German studio, confirmed that San Rafeal-based Factor 5, Inc. has officially closed down. The studio, responsible for the popular Rogue Squadron series, fell on hard times after the bankruptcy of business partner Brash Entertainment. That combined with the tough economic climate made it impossible for the studio to survive.

According to a trailer on the official Star Wars website, it was revealed that everyone's favorite scruffy-looking nerf herder, Han Solo, will be playable in the upcoming Lucasarts game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. Both characters are played by actor Harrison Ford.

At this point, Han Solo appears to be nothing more than a palette swap, as the trailer shows him wielding the same weapons as Indiana Jones.

Sega's upcoming turn-based RPG looks pretty and promises fun combat as well.

Sega released a trailer for their upcoming DS RPG, Sands of Destruction earlier today. The trailer shows off gameplay, which looks like solid DS-exclusive turn-based combat. It also features what appears to be a giant pink bear.

Developed by the team who made the Luminous Arc series, Sands of Destruction originally came out in Japan last September under the name World Destruction. It is currently slated to be released in early 2010.

The June 2009 issue of Nintendo Power contains an advertisement for Square Enix's upcoming WiiWare title Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. What's special about this advertisement is that it reveals the release date for the title, which is June 1, 2009.

LucasArts and Krome Studios bring the animated hit back for more action.

Originally reported as a rumor, there was buzz at the end of April about a brand new Star Wars The Clone Wars videogame. The rumor is now true as LucasArts recently announced Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes. Based off of the widely popular Cartoon Network series, the game allows players to join the Galactic Republic and pursue the mysterious bounty hunter Cad Bane and combat the all-new Skakoan super villain Kul Teska.

Majesco seems to have to put together the right ingredients for the Cooking Mama franchise.

Since its debut on the DS in September 2006, the Cooking Mama series has sold over four million units across two platforms and five games.

The first Cooking Mama game proved to be a hit for many gamers due to its intuitive touch screen controls, charming presentation, and unique gameplay. Its success spawned a Wii iteration in early 2007, a DS and Wii sequel in 2008, and a recent DS spinoff, Gardening Mama.

Following past Pokémon and Zelda charity marathons, TheSpeedGamers tenth marathon (and seventh for charity) will focus on the Mother/Earthbound franchise and raise money for the Susan G Komen foundation (Breast Cancer).
