Wii Remote to be integrated into the gun itself.
Penguin United has announced the Crossfire Remote Pistol, the first Gun controller that builds a Wii Remote into its design. Hoping to alleviate the button placement and Wii Remote integration issues found in other controllers, the Crossfire Remote Pistol re-positions the A and B buttons and the D-pad for better and more comfortable control.

EA releases a bunch of Wii games, Nintendo's Punch-Out!! hits, and 25 more songs get added to Rock Band 2's Wii Music Store.
The Wii gets a lot of love this week with the releases of Nintendo's Punch-Out!!, EA's Boom Blox Bash Party and EA Sports Active.
The DS gets a few release of its own, such as the delayed release of Empire Interactive's Jagged Alliance and Koei's Puchi Puchi Virus.
Guitar Hero: World Tour gets another three songs from European bands, and Rock Band 2 adds a whopping 25 songs for the second week in a row.

The Grudge will haunt your Wii this October.
XSEED has announced that they have partnered with AQ Interactive to secure the rights to bring JU-ON: The Grudge to North America. The game is inspired by the horror movie The Grudge. Billed as a “haunted house simulator” due to its focus on scaring players, it also tries to keep the game accessible so that anyone can play. The director of the movie, Takashi Shimizu, is serving as creative director for the game.

Nintendo's Australian branch details the price and launch dates of the upcoming game and peripheral.
Nintendo of Australia recently announced the price and release date of Nintendo's latest peripheral, Wii MotionPlus, and Wii Sports sequel Wii Sports Resort. The standalone peripheral will be released on June 11 with a price of $29.95 AU or $39.00 NZ.

Last September's musical WiiWare title is getting a full-blown retail disc release with new features and content. There will also be an iPhone version.
Zoo Publishing recently announced that Groovin' Blocks, a rhythm puzzle game that originally debuted on WiiWare, will be available for purchase in stores, later this year, in both Europe and North America. To entice owners of the WiiWare version, the retail release is slated to include all new levels and music.

Nintendo bundles all the Metroid Prime games into one Wii-controlled package.
Today, Nintendo announced that they are planning to bundle the Wii versions of Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption this August.

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii and Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands for DS add new features to the Harvest Moon series and will both be playable at E3.
Today, Natsume officially announced two new Harvest Moon games that will be released before the end of the year. Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii will be released in the fall, while Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands for DS will be released this summer. Both games will be playable at E3 in June.

Sega shows off the MotionPlus-enhanced controls in Virtua Tennis.
Sega's Virtua Tennis 2009 will be the first Wii title ever to support Wii MotionPlus. To show off the new controls, Sega has released a new trailer that shows off the MotionPlus-enhanced controls and how it affects gameplay in real time.

Sega's safari-themed arcade game returns in updated form.
Today, Sega announced that Jambo! Safari Animal Rescue will be arriving on the Wii and DS late this year. In 1999, Jambo! Safari was first released as an arcade title powered by the NAOMI arcade board, which is based on Dreamcast technology. Players will once again find themselves in the role of a safari park ranger who must rescue and care for animals, except this time with updated graphics and more depth than its arcade predecessor.

The publishers of Oblivion and Fallout see the potential on Wii.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, Bethesda is planning to bring more Mature-rated titles on Wii.
"We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year," said Bethesda's European managing director Sean Brenan. "We've got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it's a format we're really looking at with the right approach."

A video on Nintendo's Japanese Wii website reveals two more sports for their upcoming game.
According to a video on the Japanese Wii website, Table Tennis and Golf will both be featured in Nintendo's upcoming MotionPlus-featuring game, Wii Sports Resort.
Golf was previously available in the first Wii Sports, and Table Tennis was featured in Wii Play. Both games will be improved by Nintendo's new peripheral Wii MotionPlus.

Famitsu reveals Dragon Quest Wars, a strategy game developed by Intelligent Systems.
Famitsu recently revealed a new entry in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest Wars. Unlike the main entries of the series, Dragon Quest Wars is a mixture of a board game and a strategy game.
