WOW. Now I see why Adam was so friggin' excited about his invention...

A long time ago, on a website now forgotten, Adam Curtis started a campaign to make a better lighting device for his GBA. Little did he realize that he himself would end up making it.

Unfortunately, when it released, the world soon found out that not only was Adam's invention ingenius, you had to be a genius yourself to install the thing without getting dust everywhere.

Online review, after online review (including, ahem, us...) said the same thing: "NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE."

So when I got my reviewable kit, I opened it up, read the instructions, and promptly laughed at ever thinking this was possible. It wasn't the steps that concerned me, it was the fact that every person I spoke to said that dust got everywhere - even with a can of compressed air close-by.

So I wrote to Adam and said, the only way I could give this thing a fair review - was to have him install it personally. That way I could simply review the finished product.

Well after about 10 minutes, I can pretty much tell you that if installed by a professional, this thing is incredible! It far exceeded my worries, and can't wait to jump into the review next week.

But I just had to say, do not hesitate to get this unit installed by the professional sites (ahem - LAN-KWEI), because the result is truly all you ever wanted. Also, make sure you get the brightness dial installed! To be able to turn it all the way down when you're outside is a must.
