Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension

GALIDOR is based on the FOX Kids TV show “GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension.” Players take the role of Nick Bluetooth, the star of the show. Nick is fighting to defend the out dimension from the evil tyrant Gorm. His friends are being held captive in four different realms that players must explore. Each realm has 3 different levels to conquer. Once he collects the key fragments from each realm he may pass to the next level. Once all of the key fragments in the game are combined Nick may open the secret passageway to the GALIDOR.

Nick can also acquire enemy abilities. These are called “glinch” abilities. They let him do a variety of things including: super jumping, an armor upgrade, gliding, welding, grappling, ballistics engineering, and flying via jet wings. Nick transports between realms by use of the “Egg,” which is powered by Oorium fuel that Nick must collect in the game.

The biggest thing about GALIDOR is that it can talk to a LEGO accessory that can be purchased separately from the game. It’s called the GALIDOR Kek Powerizer. When placed near the game screen it interacts with the game and gives the player hints, unlocks hidden games, and will serve to pull them further into the game world. Look for GALIDOR to arrive on GameCube (and PS2) in spring 2003.
