Hey Bill, I don't see a light at the bottom of the first ramp.  I go down and can't see them there either. I don't understand...

is there any way to get the info from the magic lens on bosses you've already beat?  there are a few boss fights very early in the game (namely marble and the first botta) that i didn't use a magic lens.  is there anyway i can complete my monster list?  i wasted 6500 glad trying to get the katz exploration team to get the information for me, but it was no luck.

here's another question, in case anyone is still checking this thread.

warning:  spoilers.  don't read unless you've finished the game.

i know that the option of talking with kratos in flanoir after you find out who mithos really is, and if you talk to him, you have the option of him rejoining your party, at the expense of zelos.  if you choose to talk with him at flanoir, will he definitely rejoin your party, or do you have the option to keep zelos?

the reason i'm asking is because i'm not going to want to play through the entire game a second time, but i would like to see what happens in both cases.   right now i have a saved game right before i enter flanoir to look for the doctor.  my plan is to first go with zelos, beat the game, and then replay from that saved point, only choose kratos and re-beat the game.  if i talk with kratos in flanoir, do i still have the option of going with zelos later in the game?  if so, i won't bother to keep my flanoir save, and instead save right before i make the choice.  the less i have to replay, the better.  not that i don't entirely enjoy the game, but i really don't want to replay several hours of the game, if i can avoid it.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe once you choose to talk to someone in your party, or skip it and talk to Kratos, its a done deal. I did a save before i made the descion, and some of the cut-scenes played out a little different. In both instances, Zelos sounds shifty, but sounds even more shifty after you talk with Kratos. So choose wisely!

I'm the lone ranger here again on this one. It was nice to see Zelo's progression from a haughty pimp, to a more understanding character, even though he had me fooled when he pulled that fast one. Kratos, though he has that mysterious 'I kick ass' air about him, wasn't a team player.  First it turned out he sold the our band of heroes out, then he was trying to help them from afar; he just seemed like a weak character under all those layers of being a bad-ass. At least his buddy Yuan picked a side, and stuck to his proverbial guns. But hey, that's my wierd self. Now game wise, yeah yeah, judgment rules...

I completely disagree...Zelos was a "haughty pimp" throughout his entire trial, and the only time he showed any regret whatsoever was on his deathbed, which is understandable since you want to step out on a good foot...Kratos on the other hand gains much more "experience" over the last course of the game...He was meant to be indecisive, as he wasn't meant to be perfect...In fact, making him perfect would totally negate the actual wrongdoings of the "Mystic Three"...However, he began to realize his mistakes and what fools they had been after spending time with Lloyd...

Under equip mode, when I look at an item like for example soft leather, instead of talking about it, it just says its stats. Somehow it just changed without me knowing. How do I put it back so it talks about the item? I've clicked every button and it doesn't change back.

I just did a quick google search and this is what I came up with.

Holystar's RPG Media Files

Scroll down about a third of the way down the page and you'll find it.  There's a couple other good moves there from the game, as well as a bunch of other interesting RPG vids.

EDIT:  I just watched the vid and it's not nearly as interesting as it sounds.  The guy just keeps using the stop watch over and over again to freeze time.  Still skillful, but not necessarily entertaining to watch.  The best part was watching the bonus EXP at the end of the fight; dude got 42,560 bonus EXP.  It took seven seconds just to add the bonus EXP to the normal.

I think the only way to get a stop watch was to use Zelos' personal EX skill.  It helped if you had really high luck by equiping two rabbit's feet and sleeping at an inn over and over again until you got a good luck rating.

I need help on how to get the Multiplayer to work cause my friends cam eover and wanted to play it but we had to take in turns because i didn't know how to get multiplayer......the manual said just plug the control/s into socket 2,3 or 4 and that's all.

I am only about 4 hours in.  Does the option come later in the game or is what i am doing wrong?

You have to set each character to "Manual"...It should have instructions on how to do so in the instruction booklet...

In your main character stats menu (Y-Button) you see your active party members listed at the top (4 guys at most).  Anyone below the top 4 is of course not active in the party/battles and therefore is "shaded" out.  So, of the top 4, from top to bottom are players 1 thru 4.  Example:

(P1) Lloyd
(P2) Colette
(P3) Genis
(P4) Kratos

You must rearrange the character order to assign which Player gets which character.  When you're satisfied, goto the TECH menu.  Player1 will obviously be set to "Manual" or "Semi-Auto" at the upper right corner of the screen.  If set to "Auto", the computer AI takes over during battles (default for non-human party members during single player).  So, in the Techs menu, goto the other 3 characters and set each of them to Manual/Semi-Auto to ACTIVATE them for multiplayer.  You'll see they now have the option to assign skills/spells to the various B-button combinations now.  And you should be ready to go.  Turning human/multiplay characters On/Off can be done anytime during battle or running around a map/town.

Things to note, I think P1 takes control precedence over the map/town/overworld/running around.  P1 might be the only one who can bring up the character menu during the map/running phase.  While in the character menu, all players share control of the cursors and stuff, so be careful.
