If you ever fall asleep in class in Japan you may learn a thing or two about spell casting. One boy who did fall asleep learned how to perform the Apology Spell with the help of his school's mage/bitter teacher.

The last paragraph is disterbing...Never trust an 11 year old with a boxcutter. My brother is 11 years old.

Reminds me of the 5th book in Harry Potter a bit. Mean old Professer Umbridge.

Talk about strict and cruel punishment for being disrespectful in class. That's one way to make a kid remember never to fall asleep in class again. Interesting that the teacher resumes teaching the class and that the boy stays with the same teacher.

Yeah, that whole story is just one big bloody mess. I mean seriously, that kid must have been the terror of the school or something if the teacher was prompted to do THAT for falling asleep in class. He's clearly not a first time offender.

Of course now the teacher is coming back this time as the teacher of a Dictatorial Torture Methods Class. I think it's a little funny though because in America you can't even say the word "boxcutter" without a 10 week suspension for plotting the deaths of the staff and students of the school. I hope Japan doesn't go down that road. Those childrens NEED their boxcutters to cut all their boxes! What are they going to do if they can't cut their boxes? Their boxes will cut them! That's what!

Neh, they should've just let the kid sleep. It's his own education he's wasting. Besides, the kid might have known everything the teacher said anyway. My dad once had a class in high school where he would get A's on all the assignments and tests, but slept constantly (it got the point where my dad would walk in and the teacher would hand him a pass to the library) so the teacher gave him a C.

My dad and his buddies would leave the class and his teacher wouldn't even know. Talk about a dumb teacher.

Once, my dad and his friend played a trick on my teacher. They were in a classroom 3 stories above the ground, and underneath the window there was a fire escape but you couldn't see it if you looked out the window, and my dad and his friend did an indian cry and jumped out the window landing on the fire escape.

And he tells me I'm bad...

Whoa, crazy. Seems like a pretty good idea, though, as far as ideas go.

My friend murk wants to have a little Japanese girl to imitate him and do all the stuff he doesn't want to do. I'll have to warn him about their throat slicing tendencies.

Meh you think that teacher is bad? One teacher at my school is in prison for kiddy-fiddling and my RS teacher told a class to kick this little boy if he dropped any water from a teaspoon.

Let's just ban box cutters and be done with it.

I remember in preschool a kid pinched me and I told on him and the teacher told me to just deal with it. I hated her after that. (It's funny now)

As for Jale. . . whenever I hear about some teacher hitting on students of any sort, I think of that scene from Family Guy where the teacher puts a note on the girls desk: Do you like me?

B. No
C. Maybe
And then he gets to the front of the class, finishing his lecture, and a smirk slowly crawls onto his face.
So I start laughing whenever people talk about pedophiles.

This one time, in preschool, this girl pushed me when we were coloring and I fell out of my chair. I ratted her ass to the teacher and got her in trouble.

And then just last year she moved from a 6th grade math class into ours and still got better grades than me.

This guy was a bit creepy. We all kina knew.

What was funny with the child abuse one was that it was much over hyped in the papers (we're suposed to be a respectable school) and one paper made a fake interview up and got a picture of some random guy who wasn't even the teacher. That's probably because the only picture of him looks very nice and angelic which is funny because hes a total arse. The only interesting thing he ever did was throw his desk across the room, breaking it, to illustrate that actions speak louder than words.
