My gamecube works...just not all the time
« on: June 19, 2004, 09:22:13 PM »
On Thrus. my gamecube refused to read any of my games so I wait. On Friday it works and most of Saturday. I stopped playing at 8:06 and tried to play again at 8:44 but it has now decided to go to crap again. Normally I would not care that much but I just started playing Animal Crossing and that game is like uber-crack and if I dont play it again Ill go insane. Worst of all the warrenty on it is expired and I dont want to spend 70 bucks just to repair it when I could just buy a new one for 100.

In short... HELP MEEEEE!!!!!

You might have to buy a new one but lets see if we can do anything else here.  Maybe your disk is just to cracked, i hate that myself, why I hate CDS.  If not try putting equal aprts windex and water on the end of a q-tip and clean that one optical thing at the end of the Gamecube when you pop the lid.  Just becareful not ot touch it.  But try to see if it is just the disk. IF not you might have to get a new one , or repair that one

Had the same problem- it got worse.  I suggest having Nintendo 'fix' it for 50.  When Nintendo fixed mine they just but my case on a new gamecube.  So by sending it to them, you are buying a new cube.
How do I know, you may ask?  Well in the GCN menu display, they can display words such as press start in at least two different colors- purple or pink.  My broken cube had pink and the fixed one has purple.  And no I didn't adjust my TV .  Seriously I didn't.
