I live in Canada and I got one at Radio Shack. I don't use it much but when I do, it works pretty good. I'd recommend it.

Its' not really that good to get a GC USB adapter.  It is nice, but there just aren't enough buttons and the digital pad is way to small.  However for racing games, the two joysticks are better than the PS2 one as far as accuracy <since they have 8 cuts in each rather than a complete circle on the ps2 ones if you get what i mean>.  And the trigger buttons are a hassle to press as a button, since you have to press them all the way until it clicks.  But for racing games it is great.

I recommend getting a PS2 one instead.  Same price, but i think it is an overall better controller for PC games, plus it has more buttons.

I got both from radioshack and they work good, except it doesn't support the wavebird   But the ps2 one supports wireless controller <the hip gear one i tried>.

I recommend a XBOX controller for your computer. I cost less than 3 dollars to make and a learning curve of 5 mins. I just took the XBOX extender and matched all the wires of the XBOX and USB connector and YEAH... it worked. I loved it but the Nintendo GameCube controller is my favorite but i think you can find GCN controller to USB port , if you can solder and know a little bit of electronics, on a MOD site. thats were i got the idea from XBOX to USB Controler

Thanks every1.  Personally I cant stand the Ps2 Controller so I would never buy that.  The XBOX one would be good but I dont own an xbox controler so I would have to buy one, In which case I would just buy an actual controler built for the PC.  You see im looking for a conrtoller to play mainly adventure and sports games on the PC and since I already own a gamecube with several conrtolers... I figured I could just spend little $ and pick up an adapter.

I live in Ontario and I live about a 1 minute walk from a radio shack so I think I will drop by and buy the one from thier website tommorow.  Much easier then ordering online from the US.  Too bad you say it does not work with wavebird tho... But I dont mind.  Do you by any chance know if it supports the rumble feature for non-wavebird?

ok I bought the one at radio shack and its working just great... Problem is tho that There are some games that dont support joysticks.

Does any1 got a program out thier that will let me map my joystick buttons to various keyboard buttons and to the mouse?  I know logitech profiler can do it but it only works for logitech controllers.  There are also other controlers that let you do it so I would assume there has got to be a program out there that can let me map my keyboard/ mouse buttons to any gamepad or joystick you own.

I am glad you enjoy it.

Wish I could help you on the application, but I don't know of a program that does that.

just letting every1 know I found a joystick 2 keyboard emulator that works great.. get it here

http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA016823/

it can do just about anything except 2 button commands like Ctrl + c or Crtl+alt+delete and stuff like that.  Altho it appears that, those features may be comming soon.
