I kind of agree with Gibdo on this- Smyphony of the Night was an amazing game, and the GBA installments are quite good as well, but it seems more like Konami is trying to recreate the success they had with SotN rather than exploring the series and taking it in a new direction. They're just copying the same formula and pasting it in a new game, ala Mario Party. The games are still a blast to play but I'd like the series to evolve a bit more.

Yeah, They owe Nintendo  a favor. they're American branched sucked and didn't advertised MGS:TTS. I think nintendo, or Shiggy-San should smack Konami upside there heads, and have a talk to Hideo about bringing castlevania under his direction.

I don't know if he can pull a good one off, but it'll be something different than what iga is doing.

I think Konami should just lease the Prince of Persia engine from UbiSoft and add a bunch of whipping stuff to it.  Yeah, stealing successful game engines fixes everything.  Or they could make a dating sim with a story written by Ann Rice...and add whipping stuff to it!  Ha ha ha ha, Ann Rice is scary.
Anyway, I think it's a shame Konami can't seem to revive the series, I miss it.
That's my opinion, not yours.

His name was Walter, or something like that.  The fact that Konami is trying to change the story to make their own Dracula is dumb.  Lament of Innocence was suppose to be the first showdown between Belmonts and Dracula, but Dracula wasn't even in the game, just some lame guy named Walter and Death, the Grim Reaper as the final boss.  If Walter is Dracula, then Konami just severely bastardized their own franchise.  LoI was suppose to be an experiment game, why I don't know since the game came out so late in the PS2's lifecycle, and the fact that Konami ripped off Devil May Cry's game play and made a game that really had very little to do with Castlevania's mythos.  They really took the series feel way back to the first in the series, you can't all of a sudden take out the leveling up and stuff, that was a major con to the game.  It never felt like a Castlevania game.

The only thing scary around Anne Rice is that every one of books is the same story with a different character.  And that every single character she creates is a sure bet to be either Homosexual or Bisexual, for no apparent reason at all, other than the fact Anne Rice seems to has an obsession with vampires who live the alternative life style.

Konami needs to follow Capcom's example. Or give TTS some advertising.

Yeah I don't care for Iga either. The whole "Sonia hooked up with Alucard mythology" made sense to me. It explained why the Belmont bloodline had so much success against Dracula. Given the way Lament of Innocence turned out I'm starting to wonder if I want a Castlevania for GC. I would love a game that stuck to the original mythology but Konami seems like they don't want to do that.

I would like to see a Castlevania GC, but only if someone else made it.  I'm not too sure I can deal with Iga making another one.

I wholeheartedly agree with Darc.

Since some of us do want a Castlevania from some group without Iga, why not give KCEK (GBA Castlevanias, N64 Castlevanias) another chance at an original, current-gen Castlevania project?  2D or 3D, I don't mind, as long as it comes out well.

I'd like to see a 2.5D Castlevania with detailed 3D modeling and landscaping.  So, the terrain could actually flow in different angles yet still be sidescrolling like Viewtiful Joe, but it'd be even prettier than FFCC.  And by using a 3D engine, realtime cutscenes would be easy to implement.
