As it happens, I changed my avatar to Marching Milde from Yoshi's Island without even reading this thread. Of course, Marching Milde is not an end boss, and there's nothing particularly great about Marching Milde, I don't even remember him/her/it....I just happened to make this drawing recently.

So I guess I need to come up with a new avatar! But it will have to be something delightfully obscure. So I'll have to draw it myself. I think I know who to choose...

Meanwhile, a few end bosses that I fondly remember:

- King K. Rool in Donkey Kong 64. Actually, all of the K. Rool battles are pretty cool, but the battle at the end of DK 64 was just really fun. Lots of humour, and they somehow worked every single Kong in the game into it.

- Whatever it was at the end of Axelay. With four different stages and about eight different kinds of projectiles, that boss was one tough son of a gun. Really intense.

- Mizar in Jet Force Gemini. possible choice for my avatar, but I still have an even more fiendish enemy in mind. Mizar was another real toughie.

What are you talking about? He's my favourite boss in the game! How many other bosses split into multiple tiny versions of each other until there's like ten little guys running around? But then again were there ANY bosses in Yoshi's Island that weren't incredbly cool?

Advance wars is a pretty darn good game. So is Advance wars 2, and i belive that sturm is the end boss of both. Meteor Attack!

Finally! My choice is the Evil Brain from Space Station Silicon Valley. The thing that's great about him is he's funny. You get to the final area, and you're running through a huge corridor while the Evil Brain taunts you with a good old-fashioned villain speech, where he claims to be unbeatable! But it turns out that he's probably the single most pathetic end boss in all of videogames. Great stuff.

Totally agreed Syl! Manhunt looks kind of original, but it's way too gory for my tastes, and it seems kind of boring that it fits the ultra-mature mold so nicely.

I tried searching for a picture of this guy, but it let to a big black closed door. And I havne't played this game in so long to even attempt at playing the game to get to there. He's not a final final end game boss (so shoot me), but he sounds radical as a 2nd to final final end game boss.
