I'm going to get vilified for saying this, but here goes.

People, you've all drunk a little too much of the Kool-Aid. Reggie is great, he's a nice guy. But Reggie wouldn't have looked like anything up on that stage without the products to back it up. The person you should all have avatars of is IWATA, not Reggie. Reggie is the NOA face guy, but he's just in marketing. He talks about the products, but he doesn't make them, and in fact, NOA is rather powerless when it comes to most of their decisions. Iwata, Miyamoto, Aonuma ... these are the guys that should have the focus on them.

I mean, Reggie is great, but it would be like talking about Perrin Kaplan like she pulled all of these games out of her hat. Reggie couldn't do anything NCL didn't make happen.

Yeah, but Reggie is really a breath of fresh air. Nintendo has been kicking everyone´s ass for ages, but now it´s Reggie who´s telling them it´s being kicked.

Iwata seems to have adjusted nicely, though there was a dodgy patch for Nintendo. It´s hard to say if it was because of Iwata moving in/Yamauchi moving out or something that was going to happen anyway, but with the latest E3 Nintendo seems to have finally stopped pissing everyone off so much. Kudos to him.

And Kool-Aid? What is Kool-Aid?

Its these little packets of fruit flavoring you mix with water and a ton of sugar to get a drink that is very popular with the 'under 10' crowd.

Wow, I sort of presumed it was some sort of soft-drink that has lots of sugar in it or something. That really changes my perception of his post.

In New Zealand, we tend to import packeted dried fruit from the pacific islands. The leading brand is calledRaro here. I used to just eat the flavour-filled powder instead of making a drink from it. Though they have the sugar in the powder, nothing more than water and a sachet is required.

Reggie annoyed me. He made me think of Rare marketing Conker's Bad Fur Day as a 'mature' game. That also made me laugh.
