Dante doesn't fit in the joe universe and yet he's there.  Zero would be cool, but I'd wrather see cody or dean.  I'm really ticked that co-op isn't in the game.  This just means I'll wait until it becomes a player choice title.

Regardless, I'm not gonna wait.  I don't have a co-op amigo at the moment anyway, so it's not so bad for me.  Now, if only Mega Dude got these kinds of gameplay upgrades/attention.

Yeah, i'm picking this game up the day it comes out, the lack of two player co-op doesn't bother me at all. I hope you don't "have" to play as Sylvia too much, because she's a girl, which means she's weak, and Joe is so much cooler.

I think they have redone the character attributes of Sylvia because she clearly isn't running twice as fast. Who knows if she takes X2 damage, in time we shall see.

That's entirely possible.  I liked the fact she ran twice as fast as Joe in VJ1, good for getting around, tho the double damage was annoying during boss fights.

IGN is reporting that the game is now coming out a week earlier

apparently it will be available the same day as Metroid Prime 2 (the 18th)

kinda happy to see a date consistantly moving closer, remember this game was originally supposed to release in 2005

I was just thinking the other day, if Capcom wanted to justify porting it to the PS2 by sabotaging the Cube version's sales, that's what they'd do.

I finally got my copy today, haven't opened it at all, but I'm glad the boxart isn't exactly the same as the one that's been on the net for the past month.

Capcom also gave me another blue HMD t-shirt, YAY, i can finally wear this one since the one i got last year as a pre-order gifto for Viewtiful Joe1 had a hole in it so i'm much happiness now, yes.

If you're referring to GCN/PS2 differences:

GCN version is marginally better.  The differences are noticeable, yet small.

Visuals:  GCN version has slightly more vibrant colors, sharper backgrounds/textures, and clearer definition on objects and effects.  Also supports progressive scan output on GCN.  Both versions run at 60fps most of the time, while they occasionally cut down to 30fps as soon as an effect like "Slow" is utilized.  From my experience with the GCN version, the transition from 60 to 30 is quick and clean, and the game still moves smoothly at 30fps, unlike say Star Wars Rebel Strike.  My guess is the GCN version is using the same engine as the PS2 version, which dictates when to run at 60 or 30fps; given what I've seen from  VJ1, VJ2 should've had no problem run completely at 60fps, so there seems to be something holding it back.

Audio:  GCN version has slightly better clarity.  The PS2 version audio sounds noticeably compressed.

Interface:  GCN version loads noticeably faster between menu selections.

Control:  GCN version controls identical to VJ1 GCN, PS2 version controls like VJ1 PS2.

All other aspects are identical.

This was a combo of info I've gathered on both versions, and my experience with the GCN version.  You don't have to take my word for it.
