Meh, I guess I just didn't really get into it all, my friend brought over the dvd last night then when we saw 2.  I just couldn't get into the quirkyness of most of the jokes, and I just really can't stand straight shot kung fu story telling.

Do you have it subbed or an alternate telling?  B/c Hero definately caught my eye.  Were my eyes playing tricks or is it another one by Tarantino?

Tarantino didn't write or direct it. . . he may have helped produce it, or just made it available for American audiences.  He did that for Iron Monkey, too, a funny kung-fu my friend bought me.  It isn't technically one of his films, though, Kill Bill being his "fourth film".  The other three are Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, and Jackie Brown (I believe that's the name.  Something similar, at least).

Hero has nothing to do with Q.T. Like H.C said, he just helped bring it to america. I never watched the dubbed ver. I only saw the chineese. I say this without doubt, as of right now,  Hero is the best movie of 2004.  This is not hype. The story is so deep and complex that even without the kung-fu, it would have been a great movie, but the fighting makes it No#4 on the nileboogie "GREATEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME" right after No#3 CASABLANCA.

By the by No#2 is "THE KILLER"  and N0#1 "BRAVEHEART".

kill bill volume 2 was an excellent flick- i loved every second of it-
tarantino goes back to his roots and writes what he is very very good at- interesting and entertaining diologue
there are many funny quotes in the movie- and i thought the fight scenes in this movie with the killers were better than the ones in volume one- the elle driver scene was great- i will say this- this is my second favorite tarantino flick right behind pulp fiction
i call the big one bitey.

The Godfather I & II place 7th on my list of all time. My top 10 is really 18 movies because StarWars and LotR I count as one spot since to me one movie doesn't define the saga.
