Personally, I think Knights of the Old Republic is one of the finest Star Wars stories  produced. Have any of you guys played it? There are memorable characters, great dialog and voice acting, amazing and interesting locals, an intriguing story, and for a video game, cool special effects, plus one heck of a plot. If they could get the people who did the voices to act the parts, I think that would make a finer movie than either the two prequels, and would be at the very least on par with the original trilogy.

I'm not trying to dis the new trilogy. I find them quite entertaining. It's just that judging from what many others think, they could be a lot better. But I've got a question- Who doesn't like the new trilogy? Is it those who like Star Wars, and dont find it as exciting as the old trilogy, or is it the die-hard "look at me, I'm a Wookie!" Star Wars fans that began camping out at the movie theater in China for episode three the day episode 2 came out?

Well, there's a Clone Wars marathon on now.  I just watched my first three chapters.  It's not bad, but the voice acting is simply horrible.

They just finished showing The Clone Wars on CN last week in Aussie Land, and I have to say I REALLY enjoyed it.  Way better than Ep. 1 & 2 and full of action (being that they are 5min shorts).  BTW, I didn't find the VA to be bad.

Does anyone know if it will be released on DVD?

Eh which episodes are you talking about? Most of the voice actors for the cartoon are quite qualified, and have done some pretty good work in other things. Specifically, the voice of General Grievous is John DiMaggio, more famous for his role as Bender in Futurama. I'd have to watch the cartoon itself again, but I don't remember the voice acting being spectacularly bad- maybe you guys don't watch enough animation and just expect too much.

My main point is that if you guys are going to bitch about the prequel acting and then praise the cartoon's then something is wrong here. Hell, from what I can tell the voice actors are trying to emulate the acting style in the prequels. At the very least it's not better than what's in the movies. Same with the dialog for that matter, which seems to be a bad mix of Hollywood and Star Wars cliche. One more thing, I don't like the fact that they turned the Jedi into a bunch of invincible super men/women. Wasn't the whole point of the arena battle in AotC to show how outmatched the Jedi were? I mean, why wasn't Mace doing all that crazy sh!t he did in that one episode then?

I for one do not think that any StarWars movie sucks, I just wanted to let people know there was another outlet for some great Jedi action. Except for Yoda, " Every StarWars movie has cheesy dialog". I dont think I would like them if they were as serious as say LotR.

I don't know why the Jedi R so BadAss on CloneWars, I just love Genndy for doing it the way he does. What happens in Chapter 19 when Anikin fights that Sith girl is one of the best things in StarWars History, period. If there is one chapter to see its 19.  

If your in Philly, Season One(chapters 1-10) is already on DvD. All the local stores have a Ver. one sale and the quality seems way to high to be bootleg but most likey it is.

By the way, is anyone here aware that Grievous is the new villain of Episode III? Just wondering what everyone else thought of him. So far I think he'll be a pretty good villain, but he will be in the same vain as Darth Maul and Jango Fett. Just so you know, Grendy wasn't allowed to show off the characters true "cool" factor. One thing I didn't like about the cartoon version is how he wielded the one lightsaber with his foot. That was pretty dumb, and from everything I've heard it's very unlikely he'll do that in Episode III.

Do you mean for the X-Box? Yes I've played it.  It is a really great game.  It must have taken a while to create with all of your choices of speaking and their responces, and how you get to control your future and stuff.  It never gets boring since you can do everything different every time.

General Greivous is one of the main baddies in Episode 3. Along with him are Dooku, Sidous/Palpatine and Anakin. Dooku is killed by one of the Jedi (Anakin or Obi-Wan, I forget) and Palpatine reveals his true intentions for the Republic - he wants it to be an Empire.
