Well, Mario Golf is finally coming out here on GCN (April 2nd), with Australian exclusive special features.

According to Nintendo Australia:

Go to the nintendo.com.au website between 9 am - 9 pm EST on 2 May 2004 and receive the entry code that will allow you to unlock the special competition in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour called Nintendo Australia Open.


Yeah.. check out the website for details and STUFF. Seems.. pretty cool, i guess.

Well, I hope the exclusive extra we Aussies get will be something worth for having to wait 1089 years for the game!

*looks at website*

Oh, you can win stuff!  Not too shabby!  I might get the game, due to the fact I enjoyed the first NES Mario Golf game, and to play as Peach & Daisy in short dresses (OMG, Ninty has becme teh mature)!

At least Ninty have an excuse for the horrible delays this time. I'm quite interested to see just how much advertising will be in the K-Zone Cup, though. Maybe it'll remind me of Zool, and there'll be Chupa Chup billboards around the joint. That'd be cool in some kind of way.

Oh well. Bonus stuff = Good.

So is these ACTUAL cups that you unlock IN the game? So there's the K-Zone Cup, the TV Hits Cup and the Nintendo Australia Open cup to unlock....
These had better be EXTRA cups and not the normal ones with new names.

But it does explain the massive delays. An unexpected surprise! It is a crappy way to market the magazines though. There must have been HUGE sums of money exchanging hands between those two mags, NAL, NCL and Camelot.

NEUS IS TEH POSTED.  Despite me being late.  *cough*  It's a hectic life, journalism...

And the K-Zone, TV Hits and Nintendo Australia Cups are probably just replacements for the US Version's promotional cups.  There was the Hollywood Video Cup, the Camp Hyrule Cup, the Target Promotional Tour....stuff like that.
