Atari / Puyo Pop Fever
« on: March 14, 2004, 04:34:05 AM »
regarding the aparent total lack of shipment for this game I decided to be pro-active about it and email the atari goons themselves regarding getting my hands on a copy

Quote

Hello Mr / Mrs / Robot Atari
I would love to get my hands on a copy of Puyo Pop Fever for the Nintendo Gamecube, i've not been able to find it in any stores, only the PS2 and Xbox versions, but even then i've hardly seen any copies, if you guys could direct me to a copy available somewhere i'd greatly apreciate it, if i could pick a copy up at a distribution centre or what ever, that would be rad.

Thanks (hopefully)

my theory is they'll some how find my home address from this email and bombard me with copies of Driver 1 for PC, but hey i'm willing to try anything to get a copy of Puyo Pop! I'll  post the reply if they send me one.

They'll most likely send out a generic response like "Thanx 4 ur interest! Atari iz strivin' hard 2 supply u aussiez wit many copys of v8 supacar on xbox and terminator3 on ps2. plz find enclozed 4 isos of driver and check ur lettabox for more copies soon "

But hopefully not! Maybe we should all send them an email regarding the lack of Puyo Pop on GC, it may wake them up to the fact that it's only been Nintendo fans that have shown any interest in it (true story, all three threads based on the game at Hyperactive have been from GC fans).

Termin8or 3 game was released? You mean it's out in stores now? O_o

Wow, considering the amount of crap they put into advertising Enter the Matrix, why didn't Termin8or 3 get anything? Both were crap games by Atari, both are based on ultra-popular licences, so why did EtM get the better end of the sh*t stick?
Oh, cause it had bullet time.......;___;

But enjoy that copy x 1000 of Driver, DrZ!

Dear Loyal Atari Fan,

We are pleased to announce that we have located Puyo Pop Fever (tm) in Australia.  Of the two copies located, one was donated to the National Skeet-shooting Competition because we hate you Gamecube owners more than anyone else in the world.  The second copy somehow was smuggled out of our headquarters by a half-blind, midget Aborigine who stowed away on a steamer headed towards America.  And we all know everyone loves Driver (tm) so we are sending you three brand new copies of this classic ABSOLUTELY FREE!*

Good idea DrZ!

I've decided to join the fad and email Atari about this too, because, dammit, I need another Puyo Pop game and to add another Sega game to my collection!

To Whom It May Concern,

Hi, ever since Atari.com.au had Puyo Pop Fever announced on their website, I have been wanting to buy the game for the Nintendo GameCube.  But I cannot find a copy anywhere.  Has the GameCube version been released?  If so, where can I find myself a copy?

Thank you for you time.

A. Christopher Sega

Oh yeah, I email them from a hotmail account I use for junk mail, so my name is listed as "A. Christopher Sega"

Wow, a reply! Well, at least we know that copies of Puyo Pop on GCN do exist somewhere. Should have asked them why they shipped so little copies for GCN in the first place.

Or maybe...

...They're trying to brainwash us.

I might drop into EB tomorrow, if I have time, as it is on the way from where I have to go (BTW, that is very close to NAL )
