No offense to anyone with the game (infernal), but that is a sign. A sign that the games industry in general is turning into a f*cking popularity contest. Enter the Matrix, i havent played it that much, but from what ive played of it at a friends house, from the reviews its got (Gamespy - 55 out of 100), and from peoples opinions of the game, i can say that Enter the Matrix is a terrible game. But people arent educated enough to realise this, they go to the store and see it and think "OMFG teh matrix the movei was rocked so the game must be ever bettar! omfg it has movie graphics!11one" and they friggin buy it without even knowing sh*t about the gameplay. Then on thier way home to play it they tell everyone they see who they know that its the best f*cking game ever, without having even played the game yet (ive seen this with my own eyes). Then they get home and play it. at first they think its alright, then they get bored and go do something else, like f*cking tell thier friends what an awesome game it is. How sad is that, they get bored of playing it so they tell everyone its an awesome game in the meantime. F*KING CASUAL GHEYMERS!!! Zlda is ten times the game Enter the matrix is, yet people look at it and think "look at that ghey cartoon, its teh kiddie, what a crappy babies game, har har im funnie" and it only stays in the top ten for a few weeks (in australia anyway). And look at Vice city and the getaway, probably two of the highest selling games in this generation of consoles. Vice city is pretty good, i admit, but cmon, its not freakin the best game ever, i cant believe its still number five after half a year! And the getaway, oh god the getaway, that has no excuse, the getaway is a piece of crap turned into a game. Woah it has realistic graphics! So does the f*cking road outside morons!!! Theres plenty of realism in my backyard f*ckers!!! Every generation of consoles, the top selling game has been a mario game, a Nintendo game, a GOOD game. Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 are all fine examples of quality games. Gameplay used to be what was important, now all people care about is how many guns or cars are in the game, how much blood comes out of the guys head when you shoot them, what the game is rated, how cool the characters are etc. This gen some of the current top selling games are vice city, enter the matrix and the getaway. If only people knew what they were buying! I bet if your average xbot/psborg would sit down and play a game like wind waker, super mario sunshine or super monkey ball, they would realize how good the games are, how much FUN they are. Bah, im tired, in conclusion.. um… Nintendo is the best! Sony and microsoft are bringing the gaming industry down.

Man, I love this essay. I'm rewriting Alice in Wonderland into this psychedelic, insane-ridden, gory, bloody, and mental cross with inspiration from Eternal Darkness.
And the game 'American McGee's Alice' of course.

That sounds like a pretty awesome take on Alice in Wonderland there, Termin8!
You've gotta have something being chocked by its own intestines. Why? Because that's amusing!

Well, people are waiting in line to get their heads chopped off.
And the white rabbit at the beginning has been replaced by many rabbits with razor sharp teeth (like the pygmies in Mummy Returns and those tiny dinosaurs in The Lost World).
And there's the Forest of the Damned, which is a 'forest' of corpses hanging from a hook in their necks.

That's it.
The rest of it has to be a critique, of sorts, so the story seems a bit choped up, but i guess it's OK.
I was going to have the Cheshire Cat feasting on a corpse, and the Mad Hatter's tea party involving a meal of severed heads, but there wasn't any room.
I'm only meant to write 1500 words, with another 1500 for the critque, but i can't cut down the story to less than 1934 words.

If you think there's something wrong with me, please, you're welcome to donate any monies to me so i can help myself to some...I mean, get some help.

Ahh, Leela is sooo hot.
Even in her geeky teenage years.
The way her parents abandoned her reminds me of the way Princess Daisy was abandoned in The MArio movie. And the mutantes are like the ones in Total Recall.

Why don't you rewrite it as a pornographic, psychedelic, insane-ridden, gory, bloody, and mental cross with inspiration from Eternal Darkness meets BMX XXX?

I'd love to, but it IS my final essay, and I AM handing it in to be marked, so the thing has to be a bit decent.
I wanna keep with the insane plot. There's no gore or anything. Just mental instability.
Here's the ending:

Alice woke up, and became aware of her surroundings, and for some reason, she was sure it was real. She lay on the floor of her cell in her own filth. Her straight jacket was on so tight, she couldn’t feel her arms anymore. There was no use in trying to get out of it. The large drain hole in the wall let the rats and cockroaches in, and they scurried about feasting on her feces. She urinated in her pants, but she didn’t care. It snaked along the floor, and joined the growing puddle beside her. She heard a sound, and her black, empty, soulless eyes turned to the barred window in the door. Two men were standing there.
“How are you feeling today Alice?” One of them asked. She stared back at them, then turned away. “Well, it’s time for your medicine.”
As the door opened, Alice tried to slither away from them. One of the men grabbed her, and held her up, opening her mouth. The other poured the bitter yellow liquid onto her flicking tongue. He clamped her mouth shut, and squeezed her nose. She swallowed, and the men stood up, leaving the cell. The door closed and locked behind them.
“We’ll see how she does tomorrow.” Their footsteps echoed into the distance.
Alice lay down again, and her eyes closed. A smile crept on her face.
She was in Wonderland again.

HOLY CRAP! CHECK OUT THIS SITE NOW!

It nearly caused my poor modem to explode, but it was well worth it!

THERE'S A BETA QUEST HIDDEN IN ZELDA OOT!!!

The only way you can access it is via a GameShark or some hacking tool like that. These are screens taken from the ROM.
THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!

Villages on fire! Being able to moonjump! Different songs to play!

This really is 56k death though, I had to refresh the page a number of times to get it to load everything.

TERMIN8! THAT SAMPLE OF YOUR STORY WAS AWESOME!

From what I can tell, it was kinda like, a testing ground for what could be the real game, but with some totally WHACKED out bits. And for some reason, the quest was kept in the full real version of OOT? I dunno, but it's really strange. I'd love to be able to mess around with it ;___;

Oh dear.  I haven't checked this thread for 2 days, and you guys went over 1000 posts without me.  I missed the party.

Infernal Monkey - There isn't a Big W near me, so I didn't get the junk mail about the Spirited Away deal (I get Target, Kmart and Dick Smith junk mail).  Oh well, as least I've got the collectors edition.  BTW, I'm glad I'm not the only who thinks Rogue Leader is that great of a game.  I'd give it a 7.0, and it's nowhere as good as TIE Fighter or X-Wing.

Futurama was on last night?  Well, it wasn't in Melbourne.  I checked yesterday's TV guide in the paper and it had Angel on at 10.30pm.  WTF?  Curse you Ch 7.  Curse you to hell.  It's on next Thurday.  Well, hopefully.

Hey, PGC, why doesn't this thread get a sticky note to stay on the top of the General Chat?  It's the biggest and longest running thread in this forum.  We Aussies demand respect!  Respect!

Hmmm, I think you have to start the thread off with an exclamation mark from the Topic/Message Rating underneath the text box.
I dunno.

EDIT:
Holy crap. That's another assignment down. One more to go!
That's my longest assignment to date.
3128 words, font size 10, double spaced, spread over 9 pages.
Man.
And I have bloody kabudo tonight. I've forgotton most the moves. The lessons were cancelled for the past 4 weeks.

Yeah, they didn't show Futurama in Adelaide either last night. Why Angel? Seriously...

Termin8, I might get around to reading the story, but I have exams in the morning so I don't want my mind to be too warped.
Oops, too late.

I've been playing Golden Sun 2 lately. Very good. I wish I still had the original
The connection they mention allows you to, when you meet up with the others, pick the best four out of eight. Sweet.
If you played the first one, get this. If you didn't, hang your head in shame, then get it.

Maths exam tomorrow. Bah.
